If you were to play a song on an electric kit, then turn around and play it on a real,standard drum kit, or vice versa, you would not only probably sound better on the real drums because of the acoustics and the real sound, but you would have more fun and artistic freedom with them as well.

The con of an electric drum, i agree with Meytal.. It sucks, a snare ruffle sounds like a machine gun. Even with velocity sensitivity. The Pro.. Not so much! Electric drums aren't really that quiet! Take your drumstick and bang it against a piece of wood, or a hard piece of plastic. That is pretty much what electric drums sound like if you wear head phones. If you are living in a flat, your neighbors will still hate you!
