@montegoblackjack You couldn't be more wrong. The city of Milwaukee has 7 seats on a MMSD council that is 11 seats in total, with the rest filled by suburban appointments. MMSD had decreased overflow events substantially since the early 90's and dumps way less than other Great Lakes cities. For instance Chicago dumped 6.5 billion gallons two days after our storm. MMSD averages 1.25 billion gallons per year. NO sewage system in the world ngineers for 7 inches of rain in 2 hours.

BTW, Scott Walker delayed the implementation of a 315 million gallon flood control basing which could have been in place before the July flood event. Also, Scott Walker has not even attended a single MMSD meeting, while Mayor Barrett has. As far as overflows are concerned, deep tunnel has to dump storm water and combined storm water so it does not fill up deep tunnel because federal guidelines state that reserves for sanitary sewers must take priority in the deep tunnel system.
