hey i just got the ti-83 plus and the cord that came with it has the same thing on both ends. it is both the parts that connects to the calculator. Is this what was supposed to come with it? and how would i be able to connect tit to the computer?
This is what we call a fail, mostly due to the fact that this person doesn't know how to justify the video to UPRIGHT so that the asshole can use the calculator AND record it without having to be awkwardly positioned, or whathaveyou. Also, is that really ALL the levels? That's not that impressive.
i also have the same calc with mario in it. then i heard sumtin about this super mario editor. Its prettie interesting i gatta say: making your own levels and then playing them and stuff. Have u tried it this mario editor? its a great downtime sorta thing i guess during math or chemistry lol :}
lol, i have long gone to writing and creating my own calculators, like a c library that did multiple thousand digit addition and subtraction calculations in under a second, or when i get really bored, i run bc to calculate pi to some ridiculous place, or create a microcontroller-based contraption and code it to do something ridiculous. Also i have gone to an overclocked TI 89 Titanium edition, might post another mario vid on that... but i see your point, no, i havent tried it yet...
as Jdawg said, no, it's a game... i think there is a vid from hmhross with the howto, if you are interested, and can't figure out how to do it yourself...
I'm stuck on the "Mario X" level towards the end (like level seven or eight) where there's just a porthole cut in half by that floating block thingy that just falls when you stand on it. HOW DO YOU PASS THAT LEVEL!?!
Lol, why would you do that to waste more money if you haven't already wasted a good hundred bucks on a graphing calculator? I'd want to get the best out of what I paid for.
sister's calculator, i grabbed it for 2 days to shoot the vid and gave it back, graphing calculators no longer suffice my needs for computational precision... they just can't calculate pi to 30000 places quickly enough, it takes a couple of hours on my system, depending on which algorithm i use...
Oh, i forgot last time, how to get this on your calculator:
you will need the TI connect software that comes with your calc or can be downloaded from the manufacturer website
you will also need MirageOS (an application running environment) and the application itself, both are available from ticalc dot org (hint: go to the archives section)
It's not a rom with an emulator, it's an app written in Z80 assembly, hence the framerate...
Easy one, take out the batteries for two days, soak them in glass of sperm then make sweet love to your calculator. Replace the batteries then your good! (Dont forget to turn off the games before the teacher sees! ;))
Yes, i know the video is upside down, its also saturday morning, the beeping you hear was the washing machine going off, i really didn't have time nor will to make this video much better, besides, its made with a CVS camera, so it was more of a playing with one of those, downloading and converting the video and all that experience then the actual game footage... quick and simple
You DO realize that the video was upside down, right? You could've rotated (not flipped) the video 180 degrees before posting lol. Really cool, though. Care to show me where you got this?
Ah, memories. Reminds me of my freshman year in high school when I'd rush through Super Mario on my calculator just like this. Then everyone learned how to make levels and it all became some sort of phenomenon... :P
Actually, this comes from many, many boring math classes in High School and nothing to do but a calculator and super mario..... This took about an hour of practice on my sister's TI83 Plus and 3-4 takes before i shot the vid, I really do have better things to do now days. But, no cuts, no cheats, and its not the fastest time i've done i had it in under 2min on a bet in HS before...
I have verion 1.2...apperantly it has a level editor, but I don't see it when I use Mirage OS. do I need to have ION in order to make my own levels?

That cable is for connecting two calculators to each other. To connect your calculator to a computer you need to buy a special cable from TI.

This only covers the default level pack. As of yet, there's 60 packs in circulation, and 1 to 40 levels per pack depending on where they came from.
As for the upside-down thing, I dunno. Maybe the author..."flipped" over the fun factor. :)
DigiTan000 2 years ago
there are alot of levels there are 8 packs and like 10 levels per pack how ever this guy has the shitty version v 1.2 instead of 2.0

update the vid by rotating it 180 degrees or pi radians.

for some reason i cant get ion on my calculaton
natedog627 3 years ago
Okay, here's an easier way to do it:
1. Flip your computer monitor upside-down.
2. Slap yourself in the face, and tell yourself, "what the hell?! I can just get a Game Boy/emulator for this game!"
3. Play the game on an emulator/Game Boy

go buy a handheld gaming system; if you can afford a TI 83 or better you can afford a better gaming system than the TI 83.

or you can buy a Nintendo DS and download the TI83 emulator! You'll play a lot of games, for sure.
