The electric guitar maybe be relatively primitive, but there is no need to "improve" it in that sense - especially so far in THIS direction. Small details can evolve over time in the name of practicality, but the guitar is always best in its original form.

I wouldn't say this is gonna be the future in rock and roll, nor will it ruin talent. It'd be a different breed of guitar entirely. Like electric is to acoustic.. a whammy bar to a wah-wah pedal.. etc, etc. I can see one unique thing with this instrument in that, while listening to music a lot of the time, I tap my fingers along to the drum beats. I just easily take that beat from my fingers and play it on this guitar.

The only thing is to replace "the future" with "new breed" in description.

You can never get the sustain, timber, or hormonics of real strings using digital electronics. It's simular to the Guitar setting on a keyboard, except a little more refined to better suit a guitarist. It can get close to the real thing, but there is no substitution. However, I would imagine there are some crazy effects that are possible with it that aren't with it's analog cousin. Like making it sound like a duck.

It's a completely different instrument, and a worthy addition to any arsenal
