I remember seeing Slade for the very first time on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. I'm not 100% positive, but I believe this was the footage that was shown. I've seen other D.K.R.C. clips with this same watermark.
When Slade were toying with the idea of making a movie the Earls Court show was filmed in entirety for[possible cinema release but apparently there was problems with gettin the sound right and the idea was shelved, Its quite unimaginable that any other rock act would have had such wonderful footage hanging around for all these years without ever seeing the light of day. I cant understand why the band didnt put their weight behind the thing and give it a dvd release with audio commentary. etc
I was there too, eleven years old came home with a load of white oval promotional stickers with Skweeze me Pleeze me on them in red. Incredible night sunday 1st of July I think. Alex Harvey version of Crazy Horses was also very memorable! Thanks for posting this I have been looking for ages.
@stonesharve Probably back in the seventies, yes and Jagger is probably a Noddy Holder admirer, but I doubt if he would admit it. I think Noddy was a more complete and energetic and rocky vocalist than Mick. He could sing more genres and styles than Jagger IMHO.
sadly, the new DVD 'Slade, rare and unseen' looks like its not going to be released, with unseen concert footage and interviews, I'm really sad about it, I was hoping there may be some of this Earls Court footage on there.....
Amazing to think that somewhere in that auidience is a an awestruck fifteen year old me! Thankyou, thankyou thankyou for posting, I've wanted to see footage of this for ages, see if matches up to the memory of one hell of a day, it does!

I havent seen this in 37 years. This performance originally aired in the state on Don Kirshners Rock Concert. That night in 1973, Slade become my favorite band. I cant believe that you found this and made it available to us after all these years. I cant thank you enough.

I remember recording this from Don Kirshners Rock concert on my portable cassette player, back in 73
when I was in junior high , I wore the tape out from rewinding it, over and over to listen to this song.
