You can get the cannon to switch directions by hitting left on the control pad. It's in the instruction manual.

the cannon always faces the way that you are facing. If you want it to face Left, look left before it forms. Its quite simple.

The hugging ans scolding was going to be part of the game but they found that it didnt incorporate well but they left in the actions... the point was if the the blob got annoyed and went red (as he does) you would need to calm him down by showing him love in a form of a hug.... so yeah.....

A boy a h blob only let's you have one save file per SD card.

Just remember this, if you have a wife or gf that is also a puzzle gamer :-)

Dude you can control where the blob cannon transformation points at. It points to the direction that you're looking. If you're turned to the right the blob transform with the canon opening to the right and to the left the same thing. That's why that boss battle is easy and everything related to the blob transformation also.

Sadly No. Trouble on Blobolonia is not a hidden game. Still think about it 40 Story levels, PLUS 40 bonus stages, some as easy pie and others wanting to Chuck Norris a Wall! On top of all that a boat load of special features. This is a game we will be playing for decades to come. Hopefully the GB sequel will get a Wii make too. Majesco needs a few hit games right now.
