This is actually how I've trained to use the sako Rk95tp in the FDF. It's easy and second nature when you got it. And I don't think it's that difficult if you already got an ak. I had to learn the safety controll perfectly and how to use the ak platform at the same time, granted that one has more time when in service. But it was essential for cqb live fire excercises and also nice to know that people around you would be similiary trained while carrying live ammo, behind you.
I found myself leaving my shotguns off safe. Forced myself to practice, and now it's second nature and has become part of the firing sequence. Great tip that people need to realize.
@trinydex Good question. I'm not left handed, but I'm left eye dominant and fire rifle left handed because of it. I'm still waiting for the "Make Ready with Travis Haley: Adaptive Kalash" that I preorded to release, and I'm hoping he will address that...

Great idea. Only it doesn't help me much because semi-auto on my (airsoft) AK may as well be another safety; it does nothing. I'll try it with a few of my other guns though. Thanks.
