  • I think Oistrakh masterd this concert all time. good recording although

  • Posiblemente una de las más grandes obras de Tchaikovski.

Junto con el de Beethoven y Mendelssohn, el concierto para

    violín más maravilloso jamás compuesto.

  • @abenzable Translation:

"Arguably one of the greatest works of Tchaikovsky. Along with by Beethoven and Mendelssohn concerto most wonderful violin ever composed"

This was the Violin Concerto that started me in Classical Music. I do have a version by Jascha Heifetz. I have considered uploading THAT version to my channel. I do have Shlomo Mintz doing Max Bruch's Violin Concerto. Please watch?v=XuNNdHkNtso . I have Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with Shlomo Mintz - watch?v=VCw4CXoANSI

  • Simply love it!

  • This is the best version ever, of tchaikovsky's violin concerto :D

  • @firemoon00 I am in full agreement with you on that one. (*_*)

This was the full classical piece that catapulted me into a great love affair with classical music. It also started me off on another love affair with good audio equipment, and I worked in that field for a number of years back in the 1980's.

Thank you very much for your comment.

  • this is nice! the first ever interpretation i heard of this was David Oistrakh's.. now that was mindblowing! cheers, RC~

  • @WithinSymmetry90 Thank you. (*_*)

  • Hey Mr. Afrikitty: You could make a good case for Kremer after hearing this. He's a poet of the fiddle. But others are too, in their way. He's near the top for sure.

  • @1brewski2 Well, thank you, Sir! However, I am Miss Afrikitty! (*_*)

Just a quick add - Gidon Kremer's shennanigans on his Strad, cause my hormones to do a route march around my room. LOL

  • @Afrikitty No hormones here, but this is remarkable, remarkable playing, exquisite phrasing. Great upload. MIss Afrikitty it is. Great conductor and maybe the best orchestra don't hurt.

  • @ilmhisp - I have the Ricci recording (Jean Fournet cond. Netherlands Radio Philharmonic)

@Afrikitty - I suppose it all might depend upon what one grew up on. I myself cut my teeth on the 1958 Stern recording and a version by Francescatti.

Later on, I stumbled upon the recordings of Oistraikh, Perlman, Grumiaux, Heifetz, Mutter, ad infinitum

The Ricci recording is a recent acquisition.

All have their own unique characteristics.

Each is better than the rest, in its own way.

  • @cr0c0d0p0lis1 I beleive you are right in your assertions, however, some of those unique characteristics are what make some people like a singular version, and causes others to hate it. You just need to look through the comments on all my classical music videos to see the truth of that. (*_*)

  • I think I'm suffering from a guilty pleasure... DG, Mr. Maazel and Mr. Kremer all expect me to pay $22 for this, not just a click...

  • @Gallipoli717 Well, I still got your comment, even though you removed it.

You say I am absurd to like Gidon Kremer? The man is a GENIUS! YOU are absurd.

Now, I love Jascha Heifetz too, but he was a different person with different ways. It is also absurd to say that Gidon Kremer will never be as good as his teacher, David Oistrakh. Then you continue to make all these COMPARISONS, adding as your grand finale: "So...don't compare violinists!! kremer is great, but no Jascha"

    You are irrational!

  • It's raining women's voices as if they had died even in memory

And it's raining you as well marvellous encounters of my life O little drops

Those rearing clouds begin to neigh a whole universe of auricular cities

Listen if it rains while regret and disdain weep to an ancient music

Listen to the bonds fall off which hold you above and below

  • @titomun123 Hi there, If you wrote this, it is very beautiful indeed! Thank you.

  • @Afrikitty thank you so much

  • @Afrikitty It's by French poet Guillaume Apollinaire

  • @titomun123 Apollinaire

  • I like GK, sure. But, have you heard Ruggiero Ricci?

  • @ilmhisp Ricci"s Zigeunerweisen is the best. He doesn't miss a single note and he has the best spicatto I've ever heard.

  • @surfboy Well Sir, I don't hear Kremer missing a note either! (+_+)

    Thank you for your comment.

  • Que hermosa es la Serenata Melancólica, Bravo!

  • @MUSICOSO58 Gracias.

  • Also, inform me if you will post a version of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1 in B flat Major. Okay?

See? I am a big fan of Tchaikovsky!!!!!! LOL

  • @ezekielgonzales I do have Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in B Flat Minor uploaded to my channel.

    Please watch - watch?v=PVXJDtWuj3Q

  • Can you send me an mp3 file of this version? thanks

  • @ezekielgonzales I cannot do that, I'm sorry. (*_*)

  • Comment removed

  • I like the sound of the bass! It's very heavy!

  • I'm a big fan of this concerto!

Still searching for the rendition with the best impact and best sound!

This rendition is 10 out of 10.

Thank you for posting this one!

  • @ezekielgonzales Gidon Kremer is still considered the finest violinists of his time. I am also a fan of Jascha Heifetz and Shlomo Mintz. Shlomo Mintz performs beautifully, Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64.

Jascha Heifetz does a marvellous performance of Max Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1, Op. 26 In G Minor. I also love his rendition of Vieuxtemps Violin Concerto No. 5, Op. 37 In A Minor. I have all of these concertos on CD and hope to be able to upload them sometime.

  • Very good.did you listen to David Oistrakh(v.) , The Philadelphia Orchestra , Eugene Ormandy?

  • Thank you for posting the whole concerto! Very good execution!

I think you should separate the "Sérénade" if you can.

  • @firephoenix2011 Hallo, thank you for your visit. I am glad you enjoyed the whole Concerto as it is together. I will separate the Sérénade mélancolique in B flat minor, Op.26. I have had quite a few requests to do to.

  • @firephoenix2011 Hello,

I have had more than a few requests to separate the "Sérénade mélancolique in B flat minor, Op.26", so I will be doing so sometime before, or during this coming weekend. I had requests to re-do the 1812 Overture too, and I have done these in High Definition (720p) for those who want audiophile sound. I will send you the video when I have finished it. Thank you very much for your interest in this piece of music.

  • @firephoenix2011 It's a wonderfull version for this sound!!!

  • after watching LE CONCERT, I cannot stand another version of

    Tschaikovsky´s Violin Concert

  • @loborojos I can fully understand that.

  • @loborojos Same here

  • @loborojos try Janine Jansen

  • @loborojos qu'est-ce que c'est ça?! c'est incroyable, comment est-ce que ous pouvez faire qqch comme ça a cette musique!

  • Please read the description under the video.

    1. Violin Concerto in D, Op.35: 1. Allegro moderato -17:47

    2. Violin Concerto in D, Op.35: 2. Canzonetta: Andante - attacca: - 5:44

    3. Violin Concerto in D, Op.35: 3. Finale (Allegro vivacissimo) - 9:54

    4. Sérénade mélancolique in B flat minor, Op.26 - 8:17

I have incorporated the "Sérénade mélancolique" with this concerto. I can separate it if I get enough requests to do so. Please write a comment here, or send me a PM. Thank you very much.
