Jeffs group has been doing a great job with larger workgroup oriented Multi-Touch walls. I hope to see smaller individual multi-touch devices. Wow. Nice. I can envisage this being the wall in the living room. Middle part showing the TV (resizable, of course, and fully HD, or better), and having stuff like photos, to-do lists, shopping lists, web browsing. Maybe a small version in the kitchen too, sharing the data.

You know guys you can get this thing for your computer. It wont be touch screen of course but it has a similar interface. The program is called bumptop. I think the people that created bumptop are the same people that made this, I'm not sure, but the UI is very similar, espicially the options menu that pops up when that guy makes a loop, it's the same thing in bumptop. I have the program but it doesn't run well because I have a weak graphics card. But yeah, you guys should try it. (stumbled)

I have always felt that one of the biggest shortfalls of modern computing is the interface. A giant multi touch wall wont be that useful for pumping out word documents but for things like CAD programs this helps break down the barrier between the designer/engineer and the workplace. Cant wait to fire this sucker up with CAD.

It's...neat, but really, I can't see any advantage to standing up and writing electronically on a wall, when I can sit down at a desk and do the same thing with a mouse and keyboard.

Perhaps if this thing was much smaller, and made for a working environment where you would be logging a lot of hours, I would be more excited for this thing.

Actually, being able to stand is a plus for me seeing as I have scoliosis and sitting down for long periods of time (like now on the internet) kills my back. Standing is no problem for me, so seeing this is quite awesome. I do agree, though. Sometimes, it IS much better to ahve it be small enough for hose who want to sit and not stand since sometimes, standing can kill your legs.

I somewhat agree with you, but know that there is so much money in the world and the economy system is quite complex...in a way. I think that if more money were to leave the technology system, we'd be left with inferior technology compared to other countries who may soon surpass us. Unfortunately, many of the higher ups see that as a threat and would much rather focus on stuff like this. No matter how useless it may seem.
