  • I cry everytime I hear this song :)

  • I feel all tingly inside... <3

  • Holy crap there's so much unnecessary jabber in the comments. Stop arguing about the names and enjoy the music.

  • Lacrimosa dies illa

  • @TonyTheCarrotHD Your wrong.

  • <3<3

  • This particular composition is surely as close as a human can get to perfection.....so moving..."the guilty shall be judged" if my latin serves me (ok)

  • 18 wachiturros vieron este video

  • evanescence ♥

  • "no more war"....... your wish will come true on the day humans become extinct.

  • 18 personas no tienen ni corazon, ni oido. Seguro que lo desperdician escuchando regueton!!

  • Truely epic.

  • Doy gracias a Dios por haber vivido para escuchar a Mozart

  • Sublime e humano.

  • Too bad Mozart only wrote the first 9 measures, he still laid the ground work for the movement though.

  • Humano.

  • believe it or not people but scientist discovered that mozarts music can actually calm your mind, somehow he knew how to orchestrate perfectly to make it a luxery for your brain waves. When your stressed just sit back and listen to Lacrimosa!

  • @roboJ2011

That's hilarious just because Mozart was so tormented by his music, and ahh, this made my day :3

  • Classical music, I feel is still better than most music today, except for Hans Zimmer, Michael Jackson, Yanni, and others high up as they are in the musical world. This is a wonderful masterpiece.

  • @Zaidenknop5753 Are you seriously even comparing Yanni and Michael Jackson to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart?

Zimmer is great for what he does, but the others, Really?

  • Thank you to Evanescence for introducing me to the genius of this piece of music!! <3

  • @iloveevanescence1795 exactly, i think more artists should use classical pieces as an inspiration behind their songs.

thanks to evanescence, i'll recognize this anywhere, anytime. and somehow i have no regrets about it:)

amy lee made me appreciate classical music, and i'll be eternally grateful <3

  • @julie0ewa Actually, the artists and bands within the genre symphonic metal genre do this all the time.

    My favorites are:

    Symphony X

    Therion

    Dark Moor

Might be a bit heavy for you, but you can definately find well known pieces of classical works in their songs ;)

  • I'm going to be born in 4 months and I love this music

  • Im only thirteen.. and i love this so very much.

  • mi conpañero en mi nostalgia

  • Didn't they use this song by the game Tomb Raider:Underworld??

  • I love this. I am in love with this. I will marry this.

  • I know lots of people listening to this most likely love classic music, i can honestly say i hate it, but there is a remix that eveanescence does to this that is amazing, it's simply called Evanescence Lacrymosa

  • is there in this world still 12 MONKEYS..who DO NOT get this music??? UNBELIEVABLE !!!

  • гений !!!!!!!!!!!великолепно

  • we need more wars got to keep the economy going somehow

  • 역시 모짜르트선생 당신의 재능이 정말 부럽고도 감탄스럽다

    이진혼곡의 스케일은 참으로 장대하고도 경외스럽다

  • "no more war please" u are my hero dude :D

  • I sang this in choir, the whole requiem actually, most moving piece out of the whole performance!

  • Mozart is sitting right next to God playing, at this very moment. Chopin's probably somewhere there, too.

  • @thejesusfreak919 and guess who God is? Mr. Ludwig Von Beethoven! ;)

  • @thejesusfreak919 dont forget about Bach!

  • @thejesusfreak919

God USES this music to orchestrate time.

  • @thejesusfreak919 Mozart perhaps is God

  • @thejesusfreak919 in fact they're dead

  • I came her after listening to Evanescence's "Lacrimosa"...... this is so cool. I understand why it inspired them to make that song. :)

  • shut the fuck up and LISTEN. nuff said.

  • It took me awhile to realise they were saying "Lacrimosa"

  • Who the hell cares just open your ears everybody.

  • Strictly speaking, a song is merely a piece of music that includes singing, so this requiem falls under that category.

  • this no war kind of thing put it on a wagner vid or sth were psychedelic dictators will listen while thinking their next genocide. well i mean that here the possibilities are much less...try also the white house and all the places were humanity's destiny is decided...

  • Who cares if it's a piece, song, or tune? It's all music right? You can appreciate and enjoy it regardless.

  • It's not a song, it's not a tune, it's not a piece, it's a requiem, a mass for the death ones

  • Comment removed

  • We are the best species thus far on earth, this song helps boost my hope for humanity.

  • .·´¯`·.´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸PRAYER WAVE¸.·´¯`·.´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ going out to everyone in Japan

  • @KingVego a REALLY bad attempt to get thumbs up, wouldn't you say?

  • actually you are both correct it is in fact a song because there are vocals to it. This is also a piece anything that has been written musically is technically a piece of music

  • this piece is so sad to me...booohooo

  • When I hear this song I feel like it' the end of the world. Aliens come to save the few who survive and angels come to greet all those who die. Aaaaa-men

  • Astonishing beauty !

  • Whoever argues about music being misinterpreted wrong, needs to realize that the artist holds only part of the meaning of an art piece...the other part is in the audience, the viewer, the listener. We are all different...different personalities, different preferences, different life experiences, and different responses to music and our environment in general. I may not agree with one's interpretation, but I can not claim he/she is wrong. Music is part of the human heart. And Mozart is brilliant!

  • @TheAndersDanilet This is the best comment out of the all. That is what music is all about.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheAndersDanilet I agree with you, as long as a composition can transmit a feeling, make you imagine the impossible or simply take you to the most beautiful place in the universe, it is there where I call it music, this is the proof of my statement, I´m sure that most people will feel this masterpiece, like if you where being shaken from within by this magical force, Some people only hear the sounds, but "feeling" them, is what the artist looks for. I pity those who miss the essence of music.

  • for the people that keep calling this a "song" and a "tune" it's neither. It's a piece. Please get it right.

  • @anonymous1101101 its a song.

  • @anonymous1101101 its music. Who the fuck cares

  • @anonymous1101101 Dear anonymous1101101, we all appreciate your pretentious attempt to criticize people for the common mistake of calling a piece a song. However, just in case your ears are completely gone, you should notice that this indeed has latin lyrics, and therefore is a song. But hey, maybe unwarranted and illogical criticism is your thing. Or maybe you like to find ways to assert your superiority. Who am I to judge?

  • @anonymous1101101

well ,...anyway it 's a nice ditty !

  • @anonymous1101101 Not only a piece: It's a Masterpiece!

  • @anonymous1101101

    what a derpcat.

  • @anonymous1101101 Yeah, it's not a song or a tune, but nor is it a piece. It's infect a masterpiece!

  • Comment removed

  • @anonymous1101101 It's not a song, it's not a tune, it's not a piece, it's a requiem, a mass for the death ones

  • @anonymous1101101 I'm not a composer, nor a musician of any kind. I am, however, a visual artist and I have to say I'd much rather hear work referred to as 'pictures' 'sculptures' or even 'things' than I would 'pieces'. Pieces of art? That's the most fucking banal, unimaginative, insensitive term for something of beauty (in any medium) I have ever had the displeasure of hearing. Honesty is what matters, and six green thumbs up doesn't make your condescension any truer.

  • @anonymous1101101 Please remove head from sphincter.

  • everybody knows the tune but hardly anybody knows what it is

  • amazing ...... & it's scars me !!

  • This was played at Chopins funeral

  • gives me chills

  • no words.... only one "Mozart"

  • I love this

  • What a bullcrap. War is essential

  • @SuperChojrak War may or may not be essential, but the definition of "war" is flexible. Thousands of well-equipped Romans directed by the best strategic minds. A few hundred disorganized thugs and mercenaries brawling in a field. Rich idiots sending boys out to walk across No Man's Land straight into enemy fire. Hiroshima. The Cold War. All very different, all "war". If the way we conduct wars is so variable, who's to say we can't find a way that doesn't hurt innocent people? Cyberwars, maybe?

  • @CrownedWithLaurels ti seems that u didnt understand what i said. War is essentail for progress. Not only on tech field but on moral field also. Man have to fight to sustain his evolution It is not hard to notice that without sacrafice without struggle humanity instead of gaining morales is loosin it. No childreen are born these days in european civilization. There are no purposes anymore except of eatin jerking off or takin a dump. It is all because of stagnation that comes with the fact...

  • @CrownedWithLaurels that there is no need to act anymore. U dont work u get ur paychack anyway, u work somebody else gets ur paycheck in form of taxes. Eery civilization in history died this way, and the symptoms was allways pacifizm anarchizm socialism, democracy or frightening tollerance that makes us schizofrenics. Thats why war is essential cuz it sustains a purpose greater then life itself. Cuz when we assume life as the greatest purpose we have no purpose at all. We live becuz of what?

  • @SuperChojrak Oh... I thought you were talking from a scientific, anthropological way, not pushing some kind of political agenda. I don't debate politics on youtube, particularly not on a Mozart video, so let's just... agree to disagree, or something.

  • I want this played at my funeral

  • OMG...i heard he died making this song and its actually 1 and 45 minutes long..

    CREEPY ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • @SuperEpicMickey Exactly. He actually felt he was writing his own death mass. He was commisioned to write this song by a nameless count who wanted to pass it off as his own, but went almost insane while writing it and died before it was finished.

  • Makes me wanna cry over a B+.

  • @WithinAReverie

makes wanna cry over an A-

  • There is a difference between sentience and sapience. Also, what about plants? They, too, have been shown to "feel" pain. And what about bacteria? We eradicated smallpox for our own, selfish gains. Did they not feel pain? To put the needs of an animal's rights before a human's is ironic. Humans are, by definition, animals. And if you truly cared about the suffering of other beings, be silent. You are causing pain to all non-extremists who come across this video and/or your path.

  • I always did like this song ^^

  • This is an amazing song. I've heard it before, but the Assassin's Creed trailer is what really got me into it.

  • it sounds familiar....where was this from?

  • @HelixProtocol

half of america would die though :/

  • 2:11

  • Why the fuck are you people talking about protein consumption on the video page for a REQUIEM as in FUNERAL MUSIC...as in...go away.

  • @Luzerntomorrow Hahaha, I was wondering the same thing. Like... "Mozart, Mozart, Brilliant Mind.....vegetable consumption...?"

  • We sang this piece last year for our spring chorus concert...I wish it had sounded this wonderful. Our orchestra wasn't as great as these guys and this choir is wonderful!!!

  • Mozart would turn in his grave if he knew you lot were whining about eating animals on a youtube page playing his music. Just enjoy the music If you don't want to eat animals....don't. For everyone else, enjoy the meat. It's been a part of nature as old as life on earth itself.

  • @DarthRowe "It's been a part of nature as old as life on earth itself." Just like rape, paedophilia and murder. Let's all enjoy rape, paedophilia and murder, right?

  • @seymourLlama Are you seriously comparing natural predation in ecology to pedophilia and rape? Is Mozart's Requiem Lacrimosa really the place to spout your intolerance? Isn't there a cucumber you can go victimize somewhere, beatnik?

It's like me saying, "I hate bean sprouts and granola...so I am going to pigeonhole all you Vegans and veggie eaters with rapists and pedophiles...." Do you seriously have no concept of just how incomprehensibly stupid you sound right now?

  • war will never stop. its in our nature to hate and to destroy what we see as wrong. our greed will never be filled

  • direct tv commercial

  • This isn't about the end of the world. It's about death, in general. It was composed for funeral masses and masses to commemorate the dead. It's a about personal death, and personal judgement, by God.

  • this is the song i would want to die to if i had two pistols in my hands and i went down by a barrage of bullets in a badass fire fight in slow mo

  • @spidey951 best comment i've ever seen on here haha

  • @spidey951 I always picture normal-speed, epic fire fights with no sound...just this music. :)

  • @spidey951 I'm sure thats what Mozart had in mind

  • @Shafasta1 yup he sure did lol :)

  • @spidey951 You're my fucking hero just for having that idea, you beautiful human being.

  • @AEFic hahahaha lol thats fuckin great man :) i appreciate that lol haha

  • @spidey951 haha HELL YEAH!!!

  • @spidey951 no , you derserve " one less lonely girl " at your funeral.

  • @spidey951 i love you no homo

  • @spidey951 A total and absolute misinterpretation of this incredible music. Well done dunder head! The only barrage of bullets you will die from is the firing squad ordered to take you out because of your crassness - the slow mo will show the outraged crown kicking your head in.

  • @contemplation09 hahahaha you sad pathetic loser, well done sir you have proven yourself to be the most pretentious troll on youtube, i hope your happy

  • @contemplation09 Dunderhead? Wow in all my time, I have to say this is the worst attempt at trolling I've ever seen on Youtube. I mean holy fuck I think my balls just rolled up into my abdomen at the faggotry I just read. Dunderhead? Not to mention your second rate college entry level grammar and sentence structure. As stated by Spidey951, you sir, have proved to be a pretentious mother fucker who I only wish would die by a barrage of bullets from a firing squad. Such a death suits you.

  • @spidey951 i think that lol is the only thing to say to this xD

  • @spidey951 lol omg this comment was awesome..but

im sorry it made me giggle a bit...very descriptive

  • its a nice thing to say but there will always be war as long as there are humans living.

  • magnifica obra musical , quisiera irme de este mundo escuchandola

  • sorry but the open thing would of been better if there wasn't "no more war please" YOU RUINED THE MOOD ahhhh jk

  • This song is good to show death of bilions animals killing everyday by human : ((( so sad it's just like holocaust.... they can't protect ourselves... they innocent....they never did anything wrong but you just kill them because you want

  • @BakaNezumiii ok? i want to eat....

  • @img0ingin You can eat other things without hurting (yourself too...meat is not healthy) and killing others... Think about varied your diet : )) !

  • @BakaNezumiii What if I'm a lifter/athlete and meat is all around the best thing for me to eat because of the protein, taste, and value? Protein powders are expensive and you can't get all of your protien needs from soy, eggs, and milk and have an ideal caloric intake, besides, i like the taste(: lol, just for you to consider

  • @nfshaw1 No animal deserves to die for your tastebuds and you know...protein is in any kind of food... Vegans and vegetarians eat variously so they can easily assemble all the necessary amino acids... read about nuts, particularly almonds are amazing by the way do you know persons such as Mac Danzigiem,Ricardo Moreira, Kenneth G. Williams or Mike Mahler ? I guess no.

  • @BakaNezumiii 1) body builders are not real athletes, they do not compete in a physical sport. 2) the others are all small and under 165lb. I am 6'3" and need to maintain my muscle mass and keep weight at/ around/ or more than 230lbs. A vegetarian diet would cost too much, I don't have the time, and I still like the taste of meat.

  • @nfshaw1 gosh =...= I just listed this two to show that you can build some muscles on this diet...irrespective of weight. And believe me it isn't so expensive. You don't have to eat soy sausage everyday etc. it's just addition. You eat normally just paying attention what you eat...and if you really want something you will always find time. It's your decision...

  • @BakaNezumiii it is my decision, and i am doing what i really want, thanks for the input though(;

  • @nfshaw1 Except "your" decision causes the death of innocents. Don't they have their word to say in "your" decision to condemn them for your mere pleasure? You do what you want? Really? Regardless of what is morally right to do? Then if you want to rape a girl, you will? At least have some decency and do the effort to research the health benefits of veganism before bitching about it. Numerous athletes, high-calibre athletes, choose to go vegan because it is the most energy-filling way to eat.

  • @nfshaw1 The only thing you will get from meat is diabetes, osteoporosis and heart attacks. Nothing makes up for the cholesterol and fat in eggs, milk and meat. You can get more protein from a cup of nuts than from a cup of chicken, and the nuts don't contain any animal protein (which solidifies and clogs your arteries). Do your research and at least make an effort to spare the life of your victims. An effort is all we ask. Right now you're being self-righteous and there's no reason for it.

  • @seymourLlama You have K9's for a reason.... but okay. Vegies are also good.

  • @sergaiey Compare your canines with a dog's or a bear's. Our canines were not meant to rip apart muscle and flesh.

  • @nfshaw1 Besides massive protein consumption is nowhere near helping you. The amount of protein high-calibre athletes need is no more than 50g daily. Since you get your information on nutrition from meatcult dot com, you probably ingest thrice that amount daily. Your kidneys are not going to like it and you're seriously endangering your health right now. Also, plant protein is much better than animal protein since it becomes liquid and doesn't clog anything.

  • @nfshaw1 Just google up some vegan recipes for protein shakes/green smoothies that don't involve using protein powder and that still contain 50g protein per cup (if you still really want to ruin your kidneys), while also using only fruits and vegetables, which so happen to be the cheapest foods on the market. Is a life not worth 5 minutes of your time? Try putting yourself in their position and see if you would want someone to think your life is worth less than 5 minutes of their time.

  • @seymourLlama your retarded, 50g, serously? when you are strenght training, you know, GAINING weight, and you are not a distance runner or a gymnest trying to MAINTAIN weight, you need way more than 50g a day. Maybe if you weighed somewhere around 100lbs 50g is acceptable, but 50g is the recomended daily value for a non athlete. You gotta believe that vegan websites are gonna twist their data somehow, believe me, I personally know a few nutritionists. Anyway, I dont care what you have to say

  • @nfshaw1 50g IS for athletes. If they consume more, they'll likely end up having kidney problems. That's reality, not myths. Just visit some bodybuilding websites and check how many topics there are about sudden kidney problems. It's not from vegan websites, it's from HEALTH websites. Ignorant vegan bodybuilders consume 150g protein a day just like non vegan bodybuilders, and it's easier for vegans because plant foods are more protein dense than calorie/fats dense.

  • @seymourLlama "Individuals such as body builders, who are using resistance training to increase muscle mass, require a protein intake greater than that recommended for sedentary people. The protein needs for athletes trying to increase their muscle mass range from 1.4 to 1.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight."

  • @seymourLlama (medscape.com/viewarticle/414351)

I would require somewhere from 110-150grams. Yes, protien consumption can be taxing on the kidneys, however, optimum water consumption alleviates that, and prevents damage. You can't just slap 50 grams on all athletes, you have the gender, level of activity, and weight to consider plus the athletes motives also.

  • @nfshaw1 "plant foods are more protein dense than calorie/fats dense"

It's easy to get 150g protein a day on a vegan diet. You have no reason not to go vegan.

  • @seymourLlama You can get the same results from vegan and regular diets, so really it's a matter of opinion. I like the taste of meat. It is my favorite kind of food. Therefore I will keep eating it. Also I need those calories and fats to aid in gaining weight, and maintaining during my sports seasons. Finally, it really wouldn't make a difference in the world if I switched, the animal has already been killed, might as well not waste it. Me going vegan isn't gonna change a thing.

  • @nfshaw1 Don't be irresponsible. If you weren't creating a demand there wouldn't be an offer. Each year at least 100 animals die solely because of YOU. They are killed for YOU. Is any taste in the world worth a single life? There are vegan alternatives to meat, and the only thing animal fats will give you is cancer and diabetes. You can get fats and calories from nuts and oils. It WOULD make a difference if you switched.

  • @seymourLlama You obviously can not even begin to fathom the flying fuck that I do not give about this whole subject. I will never be a vegetarian, that is not me, get over it. Everything that lives dies sometime.

  • @seymourLlama By saying that a human should not have the right to eat an animal means you are saying that an animal's life is equally as important as a human's life. I was a vegetarian for a year, but in the end I could not reconcile this morally ambiguous vegetarian attitude with my commitment to humanism as the highest ideal. When every human is free from exploitation, then I will worry about the animals.

  • @roserh6 Humans are animals. By saying our life is more important than any other person, human or non human, you are being elitist. Elitism could also be found during the holocaust, other racist events and sexist events. As for being humanist rather than vegan, you can do both at the same time. All sentient beings deserve the right to live and not to be used as property, not only humans. It's discriminatory to put other animals on a lower level, there is no reason to and discrim. = violence.

  • @seymourLlama On the contrary, equating non-human animals with humans and calling them "persons" is extremely misanthropic and elitist to the core. Equating the Holocaust and the legacy of male patriarchy with eating animals is vile and inexcusable. You should be ashamed of yourself, really. What you are saying is nothing new, though. It finds its roots in the reactionary, aristocratic Romanticism of the 18th century. It is idealistic, moralistic, anti-scientific and elitist.

  • @seymourLlama Try and tell a cheetah to not hunt a gazelle. It's essentially the same idea as what you're saying.

  • @seymourLlama What happens when an animal kills a human?

  • @BakaNezumiii Will you also take pity on the humans that are killed by animals or nature?

  • @blabbityblah Of course yes! But we have to remember that humans are part of nature and we can't avoid some unfortunate cases. But on the other hand, we can avoid animal life in pain and agony. I just wish all beings be happy but I know it's impossible ; (

  • 7 dislikes????? öööhm okee oO wtf

  • those who dissliked this master piece are myley cyrus lovers

  • this song pulls me through all spectrums of the human emotions

  • Is there really trollin going on in the comments of a Mozart piece??? If so, then the Mayans may be correct...

  • @MrBowbalitic I take my hat off to you sir.

  • I've always seen this as a sort of suicide note by mozart , as if he knew he would die. Something so, sad, so magestic and beautiful , like heaven and hell its self, the sadness and loss, to the oblivion and happiness of the afterlife, utterly fantastic.

  • @whythewar1 Wow. You know, I've never thought of it that way. Do you know why? BECAUSE I'M NOT RETARDED, HIPPY. Anyone can read into music in any way they want. You know what? I see this piece as a sort of "I'm doin fine, thanks" note by Mozart. BTW; itself is one word. Go get scolded by your lesbian mothers so that you can think of yourself as an anti-war rebel some more, ass.
