  • Blondie is the fuckin' man.

  • @rlawton002: yes but do you remind other people of Rick Danko after 15 beers??

  • long live blondie chaplin

    viva blondie

  • Thanks for posting this version of the great Beach Boys classic. The sheet music for the original piano part on "Sail On Sailor" can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm - a note-for-note transcription.

  • grande Blondie!

  • Really nice cover and to me blonde is good

  • The backing here (particularly BVs) is a disgrace.

  • Blondie Chaplin is awesome in this video. Too bad that the Beach Boys decided to take the tact of being an oldies show. Sail on Sailor is a fine example of what the Beach Boys offered before they went back to the don't f with the formula routine. AGAIN!

  • @pmoyer50 Yeah too bad steve love had a problem with Blondie receiving too much

attention . I guess he wanted him to"stay in his place"

  • I love Danko, he reminds me of....me after about 18 beers.

  • @rlawton002 Hilarious! Poor Danko did have his problem with his drugs and booze... But man, he did play!

  • Writers of the song: Brian Wilson, Van Dyke Parks, Tandyn Almer, Ray Kennedy, and Jack Rieley. Great versions: Sean Lennon, Darious Rocker & M. Sweet. Blondie and Ricky Fataar contributed to the BBs re-surgeance as a great in concert band, without forgetting Carl Wilson whose contribution was outstanding.

  • say what you will about "sail on, sail on sailor," thanks to blondie chaplin, this is a beach boys song with BALLS.

  • great soulful version

  • One of the last great Beach Boy songs sang superbly by Blondie

  • This is fucking awesome!!!!!

  • Lead is great. Harmony sucks. They are no Beach boys, that's for sure.

  • Excellent vocal by blondie.Supurb musicianship.

  • Christ, can't at least ONE of these guys sing a decent harmony?

  • @ROCKSTARCRANE blondie chaplin was briefly a beach boy and rick danko was previously in the band, both of whom were renowned for singing more than decent haromies, ironically enough.

  • @hippocles: Blondie used to wow the crowd when he sang lead on 'Wild Honey'. The only original Beach Boy with an excellent voice is Al Jardine. His solo album, Postcard from California' is great and it came out just the other year. Great guests on the album are musicians like Stephen Stills. 'Don't Fight the Sea' is technically considered the last real Beach Boys song. Al sounds like he's in his twenties.

  • Great song. Nice performaance. Many memories. Thanks for the upload.
