BTW Kristi, every benefit you enjoy came from teachers fighting for their rights. You don't deserve a fair wage or benefits.

I cant stand such incompetent reporters. Teachers are being persecuted in the state of Wisconsin. "Kristi" must be too ignorant to realize that fact. To summarize Scott Walker's budget repair....he put 100% of the sacrifice on public workers in Wisconsin.

To make this easy for all of you, teachers have a very low salary. Unions provide teachers with benefits to compensate for such a low-pay. When Scott Walker stole teacher benefits, he effectively took away any benefit to being a teacher.

What is the average annual salary of unionized state-paid teachers in Wisconsin? The annual pay of all private sector jobs in Wisconsin? I know that average annual income of private sector jobs COUNTRYWIDE is lower than that of public sector teachers. Maybe Wisconsin is an anomaly? I think not.

Fact: Public teacher pay comes from taxes. Tax revenue is produced by the private sector. When [payouts > income] - payouts get cut.

One of the reasons they can, is they have some of the highest rated public schools in the country, which means that their work force makes more money than other states.

Travel to one of the southern Right To Work states, like Texas, and you will find uneducated citizens, and teachers that make very little.
