Ihave been a fan since his first album in the 70's.He is on top of his game still.Hilarious as ever and straight about the pain living in this war loving country
@thatONEmachine I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. It's nice that God made "love" for us to have but it's hard when we lose it. Still, so comforting to know we got to love them and have them love us back.
I discovered John's music in 1973 and I've been a fan all those years. I've seen him live so many times I lost count years ago. One of the greatest singer/songwriters ever. It's not really country music , in the modern sense . It's more folk music , but when he does covers , he covers classic country tunes.
i just discovered john prine today, i am 32 and from the suburbs of chicago, i am so embarrased that i didnt know this great artist before, he has obliterated any bias i had against country music
@sirwinfredsmith It's never too late to discover Mr. Prine! He has a HUGE catalog of music! I heard him say that the reason he has so many songs is because when he first started playing, he thought he needed new music for every night that he played. LOL. I love John Prine.

John is such an optimistic profound man who sez it just how we like it.
