Restaurant, and fat cats headquarters had the best music. In the restaurant level...what does that little red bottle that says 'p' on it do...I seen no difference
@castlevania3151 Well look at that! You're right! I watched Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers a lot as a kid, but for some reason I never noticed the similarity between the game and that episode. Now I feel embarrassed...
SONGS RUSHED? WTF U ON ABOUT CHIP N DALE HAS SOME OF THE BEST NES MUSIC RELEASED. EFF U . not a bad review i guess quite detailed. but still lack enthusiasm for this great game

in the library level you dont need to bother trying to kill that kangaroo. just jump on the box then simply just over the kangaroo. it is easier that way. doesnt really matter though... :)
I will have to respectfully disagree about the music. I think the music in this game trumps Duck Tales, and to this day I can readily hum each tune. The Zone A music is so freaking nostalgic to me for some reason. Great review/walkthrough!
I just got this at the pawn shop, I had it as a kid and it was great. Much like alot of other games though it glitches and I am forced to start over, why are all nintendo games all messed up? Atari games are older and still work like new but the nintendo games you have to take 10 mins to get the damn things to work!
@Shinespark1983 Fatcat = Al Katzone? That sounds good... except Disney introduced a short-lived character called Rat Capone in two episodes of the series.
Excellent job on the walkthrough. Rescue Rangers was one of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons ever and this game was very well done albeit a bit on the easy side.
oh thank you! this brings back so many memories! My dad helped me through Zone A and we loved the little caterpillars! Funny, I now have two stuffed caterpillars!
the cardboard box was present in the NES metal gear game. that game came out in 1987 i believe, way before this game. hideo kojima did not get the idea for the cardboard box from this game that he used in metal gear solid
I was the first in my class who had a NES. This was one of my first games and I played it with my brother and friends back in the day. So sweet memories, man I almost cry.
There are clips of both Chip and Dale all throughout. I played through the game as both of them for the sake of variety. Dale was always my favorite between the two though. I appreciate the feedback and glad you enjoy the reviews.
If memory serves, the show was on the Disney Afternoon cycle until 1993. The next time I ever saw it on TV were the reruns on Toon Disney sometime around 2000. If reruns popped up now and again between then, I never caught it.
Why would this not fit into the action/adventure category? It's certainly not a puzzle game or RPG? Also, I've never heard anyone on YouTube or real life tell me I've had even the slightest lisp, so I don't know what you're hearing.

Hey, that's not even a counter argument because this game isn't what you're describing. All you do in this game is pick up boxes to throw at enemies and jump over gaps. That's it. It's a platformer, there's no adventuring because it's linear by nature and the primary objective is to just run to the other end of the level and defeat the obligatory boss. As for action...maybe a watered-down action game, but then I guess you could call Mario and Sonic action games, too, by that notion.
Well, I see your point. I guess I took the "action/adventure" theme from the tv series and associated it with the game's storyline. I've unintentionally misled thousands of people into thinking this game plays nothing like it really does. I hope that you and the rest of the video game police can find it in your hearts to forgive me for this god-awful sin of mislabeling.
I admitted I was wrong in the first sentence of that comment. The rest of the comment was where the sarcasm was laid out, and my point in the sarcasm was that it doesn't really matter. I referred to it as an "action/adventure platformer" as opposed to just simply a "platformer," so do you really need to lynch me for that? I've taken plenty of constructive criticism from people and accepted it graciously, but you're severely nitpicking. Also, you were only half-right, I don't have a lisp.
@Renulph How does he lose? You started flaming him for no reason. You whole first response was sarcastic and looked very much like an attack. I'd be sarcastic as well. I think you deserved the response Aqua gave you. Now go hide under a bridge you troll.
I'm going to regret sounding like a complete nerd for saying this, but Hideo Kojima thought of the box trick in the original Metal Gear. Now if you will excuse me, I'm going to go scrub my flesh with lye soap and a wire brush. Great review and walkthrough.
Heh, I guess I didn't check all of them out. My bad. Guess that makes me the jackass. Well, things slip by, and as a casual observation I can see where it can be overlooked. It got the point across though.
Oh, man! I USED TO PLAY THIS GAME AT MY GRANDMAS!! SHE EVEN HAD THE GAMEGENE AND BOOKLET! although it was hard to get to play, but when you COULD get it going, it was AWESOME!! I almost beat the game once...never quite there...
