I remember watching this and thinking what other movie do i know the gradfather from. Then i looked in the credits afterwards and to my great surprise it was hitler from "der untergang" (downfall) great actor to span 2 polar opposite roles and play them both so well

Hehe! I remember watching this movie like 2 or 3 years ago and i still watch the trailer here and there. I play the piano and after watching this i became more interested in playing. I know that before i die, i want to play like him when i grow up, but then that would take me like 10 years. He's like 13 in this movie... and I'm 13 right now. o.o I commented on this video somewhere i think a long time ago. And i love this movie so much!!!

I saw that movie the second it came out in my class. I almost cried...it was a great movie but kinda sad with his grandfather... :(

Showed this to a group of 'inner city' kids who I was told would NOT enjoy it...not only did they make their way through the subtitles, they LOVED Vitus for his boldness and talent and continue to ask for the movie months later. Inspiration at its best!
