@steviemtothec I did think this tune did did have a kind of "sunny afternoon" feel to it, though it really is nothing like it. Just appreciate the tune and that these lads are writing good music!!!
Your album = bought. Plus I'm gonna encourage my friends to buy your stuff.
We need you. The 00s were awful with the notable exceptions of
Muse,
Coldplay, and Keane (yes Muse deserved their own line).
This isn't the fault of young talent, it's the industry not looking for artists. A backlash is due right now, and if I have anything to do with it you guys will be at the forefront.
I haven't explored their catalogue, but from what I've heard they're a good band but not one I'd love.
The list of bands and artists (90%+ of them British) from the 90s who would have been bona fide superstars if they rose to fame in the 2000s is huuuge. Blur, Pulp, Oasis, Suede, Ocean Colour Scene, Manic Street Preachers, Radiohead are the biggest names. Good as Kasabian and co are, they don't match up. The 00s was a drought, Modern Faces are your oasis. Pun very much intended.
Modern music mostly stems from America, that's the main reason why there are hardly any (if any) bands from America. But the UK still continues to produce bands, though the chart doesn't really show many of them. Muse, Coldplay, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, The Wombats, Beady Eye, The Script just to name a few, are a few of the British bands (with the exception of the The Script who are Irish but we'll count them) that are defying modern music.
I'm not a huge Coldplay fan, and I'm quite a Keane fan. Aside from pointing out that it's all subjective anyway and that you're being a dick, I'll say that the reason I included them is because they have their own distinct style, a clear sense of creativity and passion behind their music, and a sense of 'direction' as opposed to simply making uninspired hits that don't stand out. You don't have to like them, it's their ethic I refer mostly to.
@PhilSupernova88 Get where your coming from. However, Thick as Thieves,is, influenced by, dare I say "the Doors"? Please, tell me if im wrong. I know Tom has got a thing for Jim Morrison. :-)

The voice is a cross between Tom and Serge from Kasabian. This song sounds like it should be on West Ryder!

@dimebag77 It's more a tint of Thick As Thieves by Kasabian in my opinion but I see where you're coming from
