A trick is to use block brakes to accelarate it.

@StuartRedman1 You can use this cheat: click ona guest and enter for their name ''David Braben'' without quotes and that will then give you unlimited launch and lift speeds. You can use the block breaks like say by @riland but now you can increase the speed higher. You can also change the chain left speed as high as you want and make a launch that way but using the chain lift you can only set speed while as block breaks ypou can set each one you place a seperate speed. Hope this helps

those packs that you are talking about come in roller coaster tycoon 3 PLATINUM. Thats how you can get them, they are just expansion packs.
