Larry Bird was definitely one of the best. I'm admittedly bias because I just hated his form, but he was deadly and accurate as all hell. Idk, it's the same reason I don't like Dirk, I just feel like big guys shouldn't be jump-shooters, all props to them if they can do both, but Dirk and Bird both were never outstanding post players. I give more credit to smaller guys who are great shooters, but that's just because I'm biased I guess, Ill admit I really have no good reason to not like Bird.

I agree with you about Larry Bird's form. I'm not a big fan of him too because of that but I acknowledge his deadly accuracy in shooting based on that form. Literally, I think he can tell if the ball is sinking in the basket. He has an effortless-like way of shooting the ball too. It doesn't look very appealing, though. Kapono's style is okay for me. It's efficient.

To the people that only use stats to prove points, you need to put the stats in perspective. Yes he might shoot a slightly higher % but he doesn't command the same respect as peja or ray on the court. You wouldn't ever leave peja or play help defense because he will bury it if given an open opportunity. Defenses plan on ways to make it difficult for top tier sharpshooters to get their shot off (Allen, Peja, Redd) they could care less about an open shot to a bench player. Good shooter though.

I think Kapono is MAYBE the best pure OPEN shooter. But Ray Allen, Michael Redd and some others are much better at creating their own 3 point shot or at quick catch-and-shoot situations.

kopono has one of the smoothest jump shots i've seen, he uses his legs well, has a perfect release with a straight hand with the fingers pointed at the basketball, and his wrist snap doesnt over power his shot, it's really beautiful
