  • wasn't that simply fantastic? I love puzzles and puzzle effects on pictures. thanks for showing how to do it.

  • I just found your vids and they are amazing!!! Thank you for taking the time to show us all these effects.

  • The Puzzle.psd file is not available in CS5. You have to download it separately from Adobe's website.

  • VERY. HELPFUL. I love you!

  • Thanks, Gavin!

  • i love you <3

  • wouldn't the effect you're looking for be the indentation and not raised?

  • Where do I find week one?

  • why cant i find preset? im stuck @1:38 :(

  • good stuff mate thanks!!

  • Not to be too pedantic, but perhaps this would be better titled "Any photo into a jigsaw puzzle *effect*...". I was searching for tips on how to make a real, physical jigsaw puzzle from a photo when I encountered this guide.

    Regardless, your instructions are excellent.

  • Bravo!

  • Hi Gavin. As you probably already know the texture map isn't in CS5 anymore. So i was wondering if you knew where to get the puzzle.psd file to download. Since googling it, doesn't really give me anything. Thanks!

  • Webpage not found Sir Gavin.. did you change the link Sir?

  • We can make a lot of jigsaw puzzles utilizing this video tutorials.

  • Thanks for this video - very clear and useful! Much appreciated!

  • i have cs4 and i cant find the textures folder, maybe it has been renamed...

  • מאיפה מורידים את זה?

  • Gavin, I've struck a snag. When I have my image open, and I open the puzzle.psd it just replaces my image in the Layers column. It doesnt open over the topof my image like in your tutorial. The puzzle image opens in CS3 REPLACING my original image. any clues?

  • thanks a lot,such a clear and nice tutorial:)

  • Hi Gavin! Thanks for this amazing tutorial. I wonder if you can help me? i do have a CS5 but after following your tutorial i just found out that i do not have the puzzle texture? I did try to look at adobe's webpage, google it and still i couldn't find anything? Do you know where i can get it? Thanks!

  • Gavin, even though you don't answer questions, I can't help but respect you for your work and method of tutoring. Well Done!

  • cs5 doesnt have the texture folder

  • Very well done. :)

  • I have to say my friend, that this was one of the best presented and most useful photoshop tutorial videos i've ever seen... even the voiceover is excellent. Great stuff! keep them coming... i'm off now to make a jigsaw pic of my daughter :) thanks

  • Very nice.

  • it works even in lower version of ps like photoshop 7.0

  • Excelent, great teacher

  • I have CS4 and everything was going smoothly until I got to the color select portion. I was able to select and follow each step but when I went to hit delete on the keyboard nothing happened.Over and over I tried with no success.Help what is going on?

I was so close to making my picture into a jigsaw puzzle : )

  • How can one go to print this?

  • where can i find this puzzle in CS5????

  • hi i think your amazing at photoshop. im only 12 but i really love computers so i got the trial of photoshop CS5. i do have a question though, how do you get fitting images? every image i get is too sall and as they are bitmaps go blurry when i increase the size. have you got any help or advice? thanks

  • noobs just google puzzle pattern

  • Very good!!!...Congratulations!!!

  • in CS5 you can find textures in \\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\Presets\Texture and i think the same with cs4...

nice tutorial Gavin Thank you! ^^

  • @bagtit01 you're so wrong. 'Presets' and "Plug-ins' folders reside both in the main PS folder. The 'puzzle.psd' file is missing from CS5, and i guess CS4 too, just search your computer and see for yourself.

  • Thanks Alot

  • IS there a place to download the texture file into my presets in Photoshop CS4 I have looked everywhere and do not have them
