@MichaelLarson29 Ford buys tires in batches of tens of thousands so I'm guessing I got the last of the 07 STR tires before they switched to Conti on the 2010 models.
I love everything about the navigator except its small engine. A vehicle this big needs 400+ hp. Lets face it, when your spending this much on an SUV, do you really care about gas milage? I dont.
This used to be one of the best looking SUV on the road. The prvious one was handsome. Now it looks UGLYas hell. Only ford does this...The Ford explorer used to be best looking mid-size SUV and then Ford redesigned and it looks just plain. Now this new design of the Navigator is just disgustingly UGLY!!!!
well i wanted to buy one but people are telling me to choose the Cadillac escalade ESV instead, i don't know which one is the best, cause i want the one that could be great for kids, what ever has the most features.
And it cost quite a bit less than the Escalade. Personally I think the Escalade is way overpriced. The only thing I really like about it is the engine.
Really nice car, think the Range Rover is the pinnacle though, however im off to Las Vegas tomorrow for a week, and i have rented the Navigator for a few days while there.
Not sure what year or the options im afraid, but having spent USD420 for 2 days rental im hoping it is the latest model with plenty of little toys..!!
Yeah it looks huge, i drive an Audi here in Ireland and was going to go for the Audi Q7, which is a lovely car too, but i said while im in the States i should go for a US Car, and when i seen the size of the Navigator i couldn't resist, it should be fun to drive.
I'm sure you'll love it and for that price you should get a new one with plenty of options. The nicest ones started in 2007. That's when they redesigned them. But if you do get a 2006 or earlier model it will still be a treat. Glad you chose an American car.
Sorry, But How Much Would This Approximitly Cost In 2012 ? Im Thinking Of Purchaseing this for my 13 year old when he Turns 16, :) So How Much Would It Cost Used ?
I would say a used 2009 Navigator Fully loaded in 2012 will cost about $35,000. It depends on the vehicles condition, milage, and even where you live. It could be more or may be less but for an average 2009 Navigator in 2012 about $30,000 to $40,000.
To be honest their aren't many differences. From 2007 to 2009 they just added some more features like the reverse camera and rain sensing wipers. You can't get a 2007 with those but you can get them on a 2009. The exterior remained the same.
well its easy...german cars have better performance, are easier to drive, and have better mileage. Above all, they guarantee excellent service and safety.
i love the x5 but i would take the navigator for out-of-town lifestlye, though honestly i just want 2-3 kids. is the x5 smoother-riding than this navigator?
The base price is about $52,500. Fully loaded like mine it can get around $63,000. But its well worth it.
As for power it comes with the 5.4L 24-Valve V8. It has 310hp and 365 lb.-ft of torque which is more than enough to take you from say 40 on the ramp to 70 or 80 on the freeway very quickly and it sounds great.
thanks, so how do you like? im a ford man, but work for a pontiac, buick, gmc dealership and weve had a couple of escaldes in, there nice and more powerfull but i still think the navigator is a way better truck, how does she go? easy to park? probally a dream on the highway haha
I absolutely love it. I previously had a 2001 Expedition which was fine but I wanted to treat myself to something nicer. I looked at the Escalade and Denali but I thought the Escalade was over priced for what you get. The only upside is that it had a more powerful engine. But the fuel economy isn't really is good. The Denali seemed to bulky when I drove it. It just didn't feel right. But the Navigator just felt real solid on the road and I felt like I was really in control.
If anyone was in the market for a luxury SUV I would only recommend the Navigator. It picks up plenty good for merging onto the highway and sounds great. And with the parking sensors and rear camera, parking is no more difficult than a large car. And yes, highway driving is really smooth. I love the rear air suspension and the power-folding 3rd row seats. You truly do have a flat load floor in the back. Almost like a pickup truck. If your in the market you can't go wrong with the Navigator.
i got a ford supplied warrenty covered supercharger for my navi and it solved the power problem... it was dynoed and at 12 psi it makes 526hp.... allthough i also have a new exoust system ant the truck is chiped... like power chip...last 2 not covered by warrenty though lol
Have you got an idea why Lincoln switched from a 5.4 liter 24 valve V8 instead of the 5.4 liter 32 valve V8. We also got a 2001 Lincoln Navigator since 2000. It has 95,000 miles and runs almost like new. It really annoys me when people keep going on about Escalades and etc.
Yes, they use 3 valves per cylinder in stead of 4 to increase fuel economy. The fewer valves per every cylinder you have the less fuel is used. It doesn't sacrafice any power because the changed the compression rations and bore x stroke. They fined tuned it. Actually it has an extra 10 hp now. Any more questions.
Escalades are wayyy overrated. You want luxury, Lincoln is the way to go. Think about all the current features that escalades have, they are all copied from navigators and were offered by lincoln before the escalades were re-designed. Lincoln was and is always ahead in the game when it comes to design, engineering, technology...etc.
so IMO, navigators are still a better choice, love em...
Thanks. Finally someone who knows their cars. I hate it when people just say that one car is better than another and have nothing to back it up. I love my Navigator!
This isn't a 2009 Navigator it's a 2007 or 2008
1. White Chocolate was not available in 2009, it was replaced by White Platinum
2. Your headrest design is from the 07 and 08 Gators, they where changed in 09
3. Your Navigation system is from the 07 and 08 Gators the 09s had sync, yours doesn't
4. The 2009 Gators had 310 HP E85 Triton V8 not the has only 300 HP one.
I know cause I had a 07 and currently have a 09.

why do you have 07 tires on a 09 navigator

Great. Ford made out great by redesigning the Navigator in 2007. It was due for a makeover.

The Range Rover is defiantly a nice car but you will have more room in a navigator. Do you know what year it is and what options it has?
Have fun.
