well, I'll explain it for you. she was a normal girl who got a fever and was dying. when she died, she somehow came to life after they embalmed her. so she lived as an undead girl for 100 years until she got sick and died again at the end of the series. however, it shows in the book she came to life again because she left hell when it started smelling like Fritos.
