  • Jesse Lacey is my favorite live singer ever. He sounds just like the recording, and when he doesn't, it's because he means not to. I've never heard someone sound more perfect than he does.

  • i wish his voice was a dildo

  • Is this song about Jesse?

  • When are they releasing an accoustic album? Jeez I think I love this version more than the original, oh that voice :)

  • Awesome: Gasoline acoustic. Must be way difficult because of the raw rage of his voice in this song

  • Wow!!! I just watched this video twice, and it was even better the second time! This video needs way more plays than it has...I'm watching it again for more shivvvers..

  • 8 people were hit by a train

  • IT's not even a scream, It's a yell of emotion. and it's the most amazing thing to ever hit my ears lol.

  • That is the first time I ever heard jesse say fuck... wow.

  • this set is so fucking good for real thank you so much for sharing these. It always seems like I am watching these videos over and over.

  • it feels like I am in the recording studio with them when I watch these. I love reliving this concert set.

  • It's so hard to scream when you're playing acoustic

  • I prefer him scream "Feels like I'm jumping towards a train" more feeling. Or maybe i just like how he screams.

  • +1 for anyone who saw this before Daisy even came out. Thanks to this video, this was the the first song off the album I ever heard.

  • he didn't really know what to do acoustic... haha so great!

  • I've never imagined this song played aucousticly

  • greatest brand new audience to date. thank god you can actually hear what they're saying

  • for you diana

  • this is just goddness

  • I wonder what it was like to get a little sneak peak of the album DAISY right before your eyes. I would stand silent in awe for minutes.

  • I want to fucking punch the girl who says, "YOU CAN DO EEET."

  • with all due respect for being a brand new fan.

but u got a few lyrics messed up

So you tried to put a fire out

    but you used gas...

When the Army had to hold the line....

for the kids could tell there dogs goodbye.

    :)

  • @R34V3R1234 try and memorize 15 songs 30lines each they deserve some slack if they mess up

  • @R34V3R1234 This is an early rendition of the song. And it's their song, they can sing about having sex with dogs or use Pringle ingredients instead of lyrics if they want to.

  • y do they never do daisy

  • need a bass for daisy for sure

  • @sanmanuelyamaha yeah but i figured maybe they would do like an alternate version

  • you can put a fire out with gasoline, if you use enough.

  • vinnie did a really good job on this song I will say.

these guys have too much brains between them.

  • i've GOT to see them live again. last time was like 3 years ago.))

  • The "YOU CAN DO IT!" makes me fucking cringeee every time oh my god.

One of my favorites on the album. Cheers Vinnie ;)

  • @brighteratnight lol u said cheers

  • @MrDellus yeah, what's so funny about it? hahaha

  • @brighteratnight haha idk its just a funny word because here in america, we dont hear it tht often

  • OH MY GOD the stupid alaska joke at the beggining cuts me deep. i bought tickets the minute they came out. didnt get to see them. haunts me every day. every fucking day. love these guys

  • wheres brian and garret???

  • well its an acoustic show, rhythm section not included

  • When they ARMY had to hold the line, you were no were no where near the front

BEFORE kids could could tell the DOG goodbye, you were loading up your gun

  • Just how Jesse says "it's not my fault" makes me laugh.

  • the trying / dying is the other way round !?

  • makes more sense this way though doesn't it

  • lol if you hate it its not my fault

  • what all does he say at the beginning? i can't hear him over the crowd.

    great song. great rendition.

  • a song they played never before in our entire lives.

  • Coming to austin in 3 days!!! wooo!!!

  • jesse lacey is what makes me cum

  • umm you put awful, not awesome! learn to spell then!

  • Christ in heaven. You completely misunderstood my comment.

  • This isnt awful, YOUR AWFUL!!!!!

  • love brand new so much !

  • I think you're confusing "awful" with "awesome." It's OK, English isn't my first language either.

  • This song doesnt really translate that good to acoustic. I love it on the new album though.

  • i kinda liked this version better! but i still like the album version! the beat on the album version is what i don't like as much!

  • hey i just posted a video covering this if anyone is interested? would love some comments lol!

  • he is good live, but he just can't scream good. he can play guitar and sing well though; just not scream....haha.

  • "he can't scream good." go back to fourth grade. try "well".

  • haha wow, you really need to take the stick out of your ass.

excuse me, "he can't scream well."

considering the fact that you cared so much to actually take time out of your day to help correct me, I felt it was necessary to correct that first sentence for you; since no one else seems to care that I made that mistake.

    haha, douchebag.

  • wow. i think that was too much animosity for me to handle. i think it's pretty funny that you would take your time to hate, and then come back with 6 lines about why i hated on you. if you are going to talk shit, at least make sure it is correctly written.

  • haha, whatever dude.

  • Im goin to the sow the 17th!! Are u goin the 17th or 18th?

  • "You think that no one else is lonesome/you think that you're the only one."

    LA next week.

    <3

  • this sounds exactly like the song, i <3 jesse lacey :D

  • cannot wait till they come to STL

    next month im stoked

  • YESS i got tickets for london lol my mum is so awesome. see you there everyone whos going :p

  • No way Jose. It ain't to scream on the acoustic version of a song.

  • wtf i think he sounds brilliant i just got the cd it sounds exactly like this you better be sorry

  • Just incredible. Everything they do is amazing.

  • It's leaked.

  • link?

  • And it's awesome.

  • What does Jessie say a like 0:17??

  • None of these songs will sound like they do on the record.

  • haha my bad, i ment 1:17. lol

  • he said "wow i fucked that one up already too".

  • he says, "i fucked that one up already too"

    i think

  • if there ever is a record.

  • was at this show. thank god for the alaskan volcano!

  • /user/ChubberLang1

watch his videos, he'll do a mankini review when he get's 100 subs! x

  • way better than handcuffs

  • Someone reply to this and tell me how big Brand New is the UK... I know they are underrated here, in the states but are they huge over there or what?

  • Wouldnt say they are massive but they seem to be known atleast.

  • well there playing main stage at leeds/reading festival so pretty big.

so glad im going to leeds :D

but no one i know has heard of them! so im not sure

  • I think Brand New don't get as much credit as they deserve in many places. Australia included.

  • Hey, you're right i think. I mean i personally am a massive fan and i really struggle to find other people that find themsleves trying to moonwalk to Limousine at like three o clock in the morning :p.

I wish they cam to the Uk.. its so unfair because my dad lives in calafornia and he doens't even like brand new lol.

now i don't beleive in god but if tehre was one? Jesse Lacey ;)

  • See them at wembley arena then. I got my ticket a while back but theres still some left...

  • I know what you mean. I mean , i personally am a massive fan of brand new myslef and i live in london and its so hard, like so hard to find peopel who love them as much as i do. Like i haven't found many epople so far who find themselves trying to moonwalk to "Limousine" so :p..

  • my bro lives in london and he loves them too

  • I'm incredibly excited for this album

  • too bad at the beginning he says Vinnie wrote it

  • I adore his songs. This and Handcuffs are the ones I know he's written and they're two of my favourites.

  • ...Why is it a bad or negative thing that Vin wrote gasoline? or were you replying to someone elses comment with that comment? ..

  • Its a bad thing because Jesse is by far a superior writer. Of course that's just an opinion however a lot of people share it.

  • Actually Jesse said he was shocked how much of Vinnies writing is just like his own and, a lot of the songs on Daisy are written by Vinnie so, are you only going to like the songs written by Jesse?

  • u sure? it sounds pretttty much like fucked that one up.. lol

  • i agree, but everyone has an influence. I think this is more like Nirvana mixed with Eric Clapton..regradless, Jesse is an amazing artist. I love his music.

  • agreed!

  • funny, it reminded me of Jesus and the Mary Chain or Archers of Loaf. Lots of songs he/they have been covering and a vocal fan of for a while

  • What does Jesse say at :20-:22??

  • If there ever is a record.

  • 22nd of september buddy

  • this song is going to be so good i like the nonacoustic version better though

  • i cant believe theyre naming the album daisy

  • when the fuck is there new cd comming out

  • september 22nd

  • I love BN

but this song would be way better if he changes up that riff! he just plays the same thing over and over again.

    but its cool.

  • the way his voice distains, it reminds me of Adam Lazzara

Don't bring up the past arguements please x.x

  • that man may just be my god with a little "g".

  • that sucks for you.

  • God have mercy on your soul =D

  • I like this. Roll on September.

  • when he screams it kinda sounds like Anthony Green from circa survive during some of his live performances of Golden Baby,

  • love love love love love love love love love love

  • i wish they showed vinnie more: (

  • you can hear a new demo on my page. and it has VOCALS

  • what does jesse say after the first line of the song? "f*ck...?"

  • "fucked that one up already too"

  • this song is so good. the new CD is going to be the best yet by the sounds of it

  • Vinny wrote most of the lyrics on the new record.

  • where did you hear this

  • damn he looks so different!

  • drown in holy water or treading holy water? ive read both but it sounds like "drown in" here

  • Drown in

  • i love how relaxed this show was

  • heard them play a full band version in london yesterday, its sped up a lot, but i would sya that this doesnt do it justice the full band version is amazing

  • agreed.

  • This is the greatest thing i've heard since 1989.

  • Whether you like this song or not doesn't have any bearing on the amazing quality of Jesse's and Vin's performance. I have never heard Jesse's voice sound quite like this. Sometimes it seems so vulnerable. I got chills. When he sings "It's feels like I'm jump-ing towards a train" The first time it's so expressive.

I can't wait for the new record and to experience their newest evolution even more.

  • fuckin dirty

  • I wouldnt be surprised if it was Vinnie because it seems like his type of lyrics. I see some similarity (of style) with "Handcuffs". Which doesnt sound like Jesse's style.

    BUT!

I wouldnt be surprised if Jesse wrote the lyrics either. Because after every record, his style of writing lyrics changes. This could be the direction he took for the upcoming record.

  • Jesse says IN THIS VIDEO, "Vinnie wrote this one."

    So clearly...Vinnie wrote this one.

  • Yeah but people previously were debating who "really" wrote it.

  • Why would Jesse lie about that?

  • I dont know. But people were saying that Vinnie wrote the music and Jesse wrote the lyrics or vice versa.

So I threw down my opinion. That's it.

  • Comment removed

  • i'll kill those bitches if they lied to me

  • When you hear the record you'll love it! Brand New worked really hard on getting the records sounding right for their last two albums, so their live stuff never sounds like the record.

  • "vinnie wrote this song,

if you hate it its not my fault"

    haha awesome.

  • too much screaming too soon in, nice chords though.

  • Comment removed

  • if they can manage to put another 5 star or atleast quality records out .... how can u even complain about their new stuff?

  • this song wont be acoustic on the new album right? becasue this is an all acoustic concert?

  • Ahh I can't wait for the new album. September 15th needs to be huurrr nooow.

  • September 15? is that the official album release date?!

  • yuh.

i called up FYE because, BN likes to not tell us info,

and they told me that it's going to be released then.

  • bastards!!!! they totally said that it would be out in the summer... Sarah is getting upset!

  • this song is amazing, i cant wait for the new record

  • 90's grunge, thats like a good fridge buzz

  • Jesse's voice just gets so much more unique more and more.

  • something tells me this will be much better as a song with the full band.

    A good song nonetheless

  • nirvana is whacked?

thats a first. Who doesn't appreciate the pioneers of 90s grunge? The lyrics that Vin wrote for this are really good, yeah Jesse might a better writer but there a band, Handcuffs was good and the hole Brand New not playing Your favorite Weapon songs, maybe because its been years since that album came out it would only make more sense to play Deja songs and Devil and God it's 2009.

  • i dont think vin wrote the lyrics. i think he thought of the guitar and jesse wrote the lyrics

  • when he says vinnie wrote this one he means vinnie wrote the lyrics, vinnie wrote the lyrics to handcuffs, so he is defiinatly coming out as more of a song writer now

  • I think the Handcuffs lyrics are kinda weak. ... that's just me, as I brace for 1,000's of thumbs-downs.

  • Nah, I reckon they're fantastic. Really poignant and up-front while managing to be subtle. The line about the crying babies gives me chills.

  • I agree, Handcuffs kinda sucked. But I really like this song.

  • handcuffs is one of my favorite songs from BN. Vin has just as good lyrics as Jesse.

  • Vin wrote the lyrics for handcuffs...i think. So they're probably not right up there with jesse lacey's stuff

  • the new album is going to be sick. this is cool.

    nirvana is wack

  • i like it. i could see it being really good with a full band on an album

  • Rumors are going around for a release date of the new album on June 23rd.

  • i dont think theres anything wrong with vins lyrics. i didnt really care for the handcuffs lyrics, but i think this song is amazing.

  • that guitar is amazing.

  • I'm sorry but I can't stand it when Vin writes the lyrics. I won't say he isn't talented, but it never feels right after listening to something Jesse wrote. It ruins the flow of the album even, with Hand Cuffs on the Devil and God. I understand that they are including him, but if Morrisey isn't on this album and I see 5 songs written by Vin I don't think I can buy this album.

Who am I kidding, I'll buy it anyways but I won't be happy about it. >_>

  • truly said man.

  • why is he yelling in every new song though?

this song is so easy to sing for anyone.

doesn't make it different like all other brand new songs.

Brickhouse was amazing..but now this Gasoline song is making me wonder.

    PLEASE COME THRU BRAND NEW

    i am forever faithful.

    come thru for us all!

  • jesus ... the song gets better as it goes along. Love these guys

  • this is fucking amazing. i hate that some people just cant appreciate brand new.

i sooo cant wait for the summerr :)

  • I hate it when Brand New "Fans" are really just apologists who let them pass by just phoning it in with shit like this. They are better than this song, and I think even they know it. And, if you don't, you're not "appreciating" Brand New.

  • When TDAGIRIM first came out. Brand New fans everywhere HATED it. These days, everyone praises it. So, I think it's just a matter of getting used to it.

  • I'm pretty sure everyone over the age of 16 thought it was their best CD right away. If you're still in highschool then the first two CD's are for you.

  • yeah i agree totally ha. All there CD's have amazing lyrics though :)

It feels like there a new band every cd but still stay just as amazing.

Im excited for there next CD.

  • yeah, those muthas have been putting off releasing it for-ever.

  • You're probably right. YFW for sure but Deja is a good stepping stone into other styles of music

  • ehh deja too
