This was not before he came to the Komets. Before the Komets Fletch was in the NHL and AHL. This is after the Komets traded him. Basically Bezeau was the new tough guy in Fort Wayne and Fletcher was let go by Dave Farrish. So, Bezeau in effect ran Fletch out of town. Fletcher was ready and I'm sure wanted to kill him in this fight. Too bad Bezeau fell down.

Your dad was my hero he I met him a few times at the practice arena where I used to play junior hockey I think it was called mc millan but I used to follow them on road games with my parents and love the memories of komets games at the coliseum when it used to be so smoky in the halls you could hardly see and i would be running around with my 77 jersey on those were the days so tell your dad thanks for the memories fletchhockey77 peace

I played softball with Fletch in Montreal where he grew up. Really nice guy. Tough as hell, though.

I was at game 7 of the 97-98 Turner Cup Finals Chicago Wolves vs Detroit Vipers at the old Rosemont Horizon in Chicago. Before the game even started all hell broke loose on the ice after about 30 minutes and 7 squad cars later Andy Bezeau and 2 other Vipers were arrested before the biggest game of their lives. Chicago won the Cup 3-0 with 3 3rd period goals. That was the 1st I ever heard of Bezeau and after I saw him being escorted out in uniform in cuffs he became my hero!

Andy Bezeau - The greatest and most exciting hockey player I have ever seen..... The few years he was playing in Muskegon were priceless with him.... He brought Muskegons attendance from 2000 a night to 4500 a night alone... Will never see anything like him again! Great Post, anymore Bexeau fil send it my way!
