I actually wear hollister and abercrombie because the clothes actually fit me. I have really long arms and legs & everywhere else after like 2 washes it shrinks then I can't fit it anymore! Plus hollister, AE, Abercrombie, Aeropostale actually make people look better than clothes from like wal-mart or something. :P ALSO THEY SMELL SO GOOD :D Hardely anyone at my school wears hollister so it's not me trying to fit in with them :P

Technically. Those aren't actually 'preppy' clothes. Just clothes that got mainstream when the trend was more 'alive'. That's not exactly a good reason to dislike a clothes company? People like their clothes? A lot of clothes from a lot of places are quite expensive. Some wear those clothes to fit in while others do not.
Most clothes that are sold to fit in.. one way or another. What you're wearing is clothes that someone could wear to fit in.

You're paying for the brand when it comes to prices. People make it seem like Abercrombie and such is HORRIBLE quality. It's really not. They're actually really comfortable. It's basically all about image. if you want the image of Hollister, AE, A&F, etc..then wear that. If you want the image of a Wal-Mart/Target shopper, wear that. Think about it.

IMO, there is nothing stylish about Hollister, Abercrombie, or AE. All it is mostly is clothing with their name written all over it which is pretty poor style if you ask me.
