  • im from wv and we call soda "pop" and i was in Virginia one day at a friends house and i asked my friend for a pop and he just looked at me and was like wtf r u talking abt lol we were both very confused for like 5 mins

  • Oh my lord! I say rurn't too and I didn't even know it till my friends told me! How do even spell that? Do y'all say ort instead of ought? My nana always said "ortn't outta". It's like, ought not to have, like "I orten' outta done it!" Gosh, I miss hearing these words!

  • I'm from the upstate of SC but have been in MS for 20 yrs. No one understands my words here. Hosepipe (they think goes on a car). They call it a garden hose but most don't have gardens here. Rurit (ruined), yu'ens, yonder or yunder, I'm always fixin' to cook, fixin' to clean' fixin' to go. Skinny as a Bean Pole (they don't know what a bean pole is). Plumb dumb (they have no clue about the word "plumb") Schoolhouse (they don't know where one is here. LOL I always have to explain my words here :)
