it seems alot of newbs are here. a little history lesson. MDB is one of the unique metal bands. they were original since the late 80s coming up with a mix of death metal and doom metal. later this mix became the standart for a softer version of mdb which is gothic and emo music. mdb is the original and the one and only that pioneeered this tyope of music
@Mario6732 you are wrong there is metal music with gothic essence like mdb for example sentenced paradise lost early anathema etc...gothic metal is a part of metal music and some of the best metal bands come from this kind
@91hm There was gothic music in the 80's, way before death/doom. After Paradise Lost's first Cd "Lost Paradise", MDB and Anathema were the firsts in the UK to come up with the Doom/Death genre.

well you dont know too much about music history but ill tell you that gothic music came from doom metal and my dying bride which was the first to mix doom with death metal. todays emo goth is a weak commercial form of what once was doom metal

It was one of the best shows what I've ever seen. Aaron is like time bomb filled with exploding load of emotions. Emo s$%t knows nothing about it! I'd love to have the same possibility of feeling expression on the stage
I've been playing on an acoustic guitar for a few months, but I got an electric one this Christmas. My fingers aren't used to play on that kind of strings :) But still this a song worth the pain ^^

i never said i knew too much about the history of music (then again, i don't really care about the emo trend).
i also never said goth didn't originate from doom/death, neither did i deny the commercial tendency of any emo genre.
i merely asked a question.

goth bands are fields of the nephilim, the cure, bauhaus, incubus sukubus, souixie and the banshees, noferatu and many other bands from the 80's
the whole goth scene has nothing to do with metal although you are right about that emo shit.
MDB is a great band btw.
