Watch any sort of race on t.v. and when they show the cockpit view of the driver, put your hands up and steer with him...and there you go...I just saved you $150 of complete BS...This does not make a driving game immersive at all...all your doing is playing pretend...play this game with a racing wheel...that is true immersion.

Gran Turismo 5 may have twice the drivers, but it also has a shoddy framerate that can't maintain 60 FPS. It has screen tearing all over the place. It has idiotic AI, no mechanical/sim damage, visual damage is laughable, tuning that doesn't compare to Forza 3, a menu and UI that's annoying, horrid loading screens, no telemetry, weak sound, etc.

Forza has none of those problems. So you can have your 16 cars.

I wanna buy a racing wheel for play GT5, I'm torn between the driving force GT and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS Wheel V2. the first one I can buy at 129.99 and 179.95 the seconds (on the Fanatec website). Porsche is obviously most beautiful, I like it more, but talking about quality (force feedback, etc) is worth spent 50 extra on the porsche wheel?

@master0518 The GT3 RS doesn't come with pedals. You need to spend another $50 for the base pedals, or go all out and get the Clubsport pedals. Fanatec will also have the Carrera wheel out soon for $159.00 with a shifter and pedals.

We also mention it's more suited for an office setting which is exactly where I have it now. No they don't want $700 for it.. Thats after shipping it to the US. They don't have a US distributor. It's almost 1/2 the price if you live in Europe.

Hi Simracing! , I disagree about the things that you name to consider a sim, i believe that both Forza and GT5p (i cant speak for GT5 until comes out) are simulators, because the of the physics. Yes they are not the more pure sim out there but still they are sims. Is all about physics.

Pace cars, flags, racing weekends, etc thats all part of the context. You can make a simulation where a car just drive around an empty parking lot and that would be a simulation if the physics emulate the car.

The Audi R15 featured in Forza and on this episode in top sim cars is in fact not this years le mans winning car, it actually lost to an all peugeot podium in 2009. This years le mans winning car is the R15 PLUS, which has sleeker aero and not those crazy side gills, due only to reliability and the failure of ALL peugeot engines! Which was unreal to watch i might add... But anyways just fyi, love the show! Thanks

While vgchartz number isn't the most accurate, it does give a pretty reasonable ballpark figures of console software sales. Currently, Forza 2 has sold 4m copies (2.5m US) while Forza 3 number is 2.8m (1.3m US). Just as a gauge to vgchartz accuracy- Sony's sales number for GT5 Prologue is 4m (which might also include the PSN download version) while vgchartz listed it at 3.8m.

forza 3 needs to change their multiplayer setup. the public rooms suck ,and you can only have friends in the private room. I would like to make my own room and have the option of new people come in and play. forza2 had the better multiplayer.

Btw, the phase 3 can fetch from 750 to 1 million now days... and its not a dodge charger its an e49 Valliant VH charger and its probs done off the ultra rare bathurst special.. its an e49 if its a four speed but its the older e38 if its a 3 speed.

Great video guys! I'm so glad you did a revisit to Forza-3. You're absolutely correct in that it's not really a SIM. Sadly many in the Forza community will fight you tooth and nail over that issue. I initially thought it was a SIM, but after I bought Race Pro, it didn't take me long to realize Forza's not a SIM. The vehicle tuning in the game is very limited, the physics aren't at SIM level, so much of the game is allocated to non racing material too. It's still fun to play but really not a SIM.

Well imo forza is becoming not just a racing sim, but a truth car lover game, just look at a beautiful for a lot of persons is just an experience, so if you just judge forza for it's racing aspect you are missing the truth meaning of this wonderful game, I know that meaybe it lacks of lettle details, like safety cars and stuff, but it's not over yet lest wait till' next forza4 in the next 3 years and I'm sure it?ll be nearly perfect. i all the aspects turn10 wants to cover.

I feel like Forza has gone downhill. Forza 2 removed great tracks that were found in Forza 1, and Forza 3 didn't carry all the FM2 cars over. They threw in a drag strip, and Fujimi Kaido, and say "WE CARE ABOUT DRAG AND DRIFT!" Drift players such as myself have been asking for DLC with Drift cars (Toyota JZ series, 180sx etc.) for years now, as well as track packs like Ebisu, Bihoku etc.

And it took 3 months for drag racers to get noticed and get the strip fixed.

I think the reason console titles are not true simulations is because the developers want it to be accessible to more people, which can annoy me at times as I don't have a pc capable of playing games like iRacing....even so I am really looking forward to GT5 and your review of it. The Audi R15 was not the chasis they ran this year at Le Mans. Technically speaking it is. It has the same monocoque. They ran a heavily revised R15 called the R15+. They ran the R15 last year but failed to math the pace of the Peugeot so they wen't back to the drawing board and changed the cooling system, aero package, and power train.
