Seen them in Quebec City in 1982. Great show ! Excellent musicians ! Had a word with George Belanger, the lead singer, who was a cool dude and an excellent vocalist.
Too many beers in the Norlander.......Great times crawling through the hole in the fence back to the apartments next door after getting totally blasted.
Nothing comes even close to this era of music. Music today doesn't even come close. All this music brings back awesome memories, so glad we can type in good ol' tunes and crank them up on U TUBE :)
THIS IS THE BEST LIVE !! I STILL REMEMBER HAVING THEM PLAY AT MY SCHOOL IN WINNIPEG 1981 XOXOX HARLIQUINE STILL ROCKS & STILL DOSE A WICKED LIVE VENUE !
One of the very first gigs these guys were REGULARS at....was the El Prado Club in Shilo. They were always there! Really, really GOOD TIMES! They quickly moved onto Brandon and back to the 'Peg and places elsewhere. And yeah....I remember the Diamond Club....and the Zoo...met my second wife at Strawberries! Or was it Palimino? Or...was the Palimino in Cowtown?....WAY TOO FAR BACK TO REMEMBER!
The guitarist was a family friend from winnipeg. Went camping with him and his family and he showd me how to perform bar-chords using an empty beer bottle. I look back now and wish I had gotten autograph.
Yes, those were the days indeed...All great bands, including Kilowatt, Orphan,Stretch Marks etc etc, the list went on and on! And,if I remember correctly, seeing The Tragically Hip as Winnipeg's adopted sons at The Diamond Club in Garden City, towards the end of the 80's. Hard to imagine ever having a scene like that again in the 'Peg. Good, good times...
1m40s gets groovy as fuck. My head just starts groovin to the bass.

Listening to it now, some 25 (?) years later, I appreciate their talent even more. Really smart musically. The harmonies and transitions are great.
