I am an American and I have beign delighted by Max and Chaplin comedy, but there is Mexican comedian from the 30's...70's his name was Cantinflas which I consider the best comedian ever. I am capable to appreciate comedy in Frech, English and Spanish. I guess because its a different language it would be difficult for Nickladey to appreciate and understand the level of talent Cantinflas had. its the kind of comedy that never gets old. But as i mentioned, its a differnt language and culture.
@camalucas I had the pleasure of seeing Cantinflas for the first time recently when I saw the film "Around the World in 80 Days," the classic version made in 1956. Cantinflas played Passepartout to David Niven's Phileas Fogg. Marvellous film, based on the book by Jules Verne.
It's a real shame there isn't a lot more material of him, He's well before my time and I'd have liked to see a lot more than is available.
