Very nice and very instructive. Thanks for doing the wood comparison, it's a fascinating topic with not nearly enough actual sound comparisons available.
Hi Jarvis ! I've been watching your reviews for quite a while now and I love everything you do. Keep up the good work ! I actually do have a question for you. Being that these guitars were made in the Ayers factory, how would you say they compare to the Ayers guitars in build quality, playability and sound ? Do you have a preference ? Also I must say that the Badens in this video all sound great. They seems to have a nice modern contemporary sound without being overly bright. Ciao =]
@CBourgeois77 I have played several Ayers . funny it seems even though Both are made in the same factory.the Badens seems to have way better QC in terms of the overall end product. Badens sound comtemporary but not that bright and because they are hand made the guitars will aged beautifully. They are built lightly but no overly light so you get the structural intergrity as well as the tonal responsiveness found on higher end guitar. Many after playing it are amazed how good they sound
Love your reviews Jarvis! Great guitars, I have a Kanzo/Cedar model. Beautiful rich sound. Have a review of it on my channel. Thanks again for honest down to earth reviews!
Hello...Was wondering which of the 4 guitar will you recommend for someone who mainly strum...and maybe if possible also good for finger picking on the other hand. Thanks!
@purecs well I've got mixed reviews of what people like after hearing and watching this review..generally the sitka tops are great for strumming.so the maple, koa on this videos..if you want more depth then get a Rosewood spruce top,...for fingerpicking..hey the Cedar tops ones are the Best..yes everyone that played that Cedar says its awesome..and they want to buy it on the spot though its not for sale...
Great showcase! I wonder what's happening to Mahogany b/s? Seems to be lesser used? Getting rarer? By the way, does cedar top aged well like spruce top?
@undryoasis Its harder to get the Badens now since its changing hands now..with the New Owner in UK..prices will go up north...yes higher..so buy one if you happen to come across one that you really like..
@undryoasis Cedar does aged...but not as much as the spruce tops..cedar has a quicker response..so when you fingerpick..it has that rich sounding tone that is sweet yet the trebles just rings out..also alot more bass response..rounded fat bass..
