@mheine2006 judging from the lack of fear he had about the humans he was still too young to have had that wariness yet. All he knew was he was alone and scared, and due to bears social nature he was probably very stressed out.
@moonlake5 indeed. I was only referring back to his response not your actions. You did the right thing in order to have him introduced to the wild by the Rescue agency.
@threeby8887 The hunters did know she had a cub according to what they were telling everyone around town. We're not postive this was her cub but think that it very likely was.
zaniellify, the little bear should not suffer and we didn't want him to. We have taken many wild and hurt animals to the rehabs around here through the years.
We called U.S. Department of Agriculture. I ask them what would happen to him . He said he would go to a rehab. We have many of them around here. Believe me if I could have taken care of him I would have but he was big enough to hurt someone.
I think I do have a video on here showing the man catching him. He really didn't even have to catch him the little bear walked right up to the man then went right into the cage when the man offered him a cookie.
Did you have someone come out and take him to a rehabilitation center? If you let him stick around he'll become a danger to himself and people or pets.
Well, I can't say I would agree with that. It is sad they never think of the little babies that are with their mother. I hate the fact that they hunt with dogs. All their worried about is the kill.
@zaniellify A hunter WAS taken out so its child was left crying alone in the forest. Fortunately the world's only compassionate predator--humans--has the heart and means to take care of said bear's offspring. Why should this little cub suffer being eaten by other predators?
@zaniellify Do you realize what a sociopath you are to make a statement like that? It's fine if you disagree with hunting, but remember that hunters are people with families too. And I think it's disgraceful to think that people are less important than animals.
Amazes me how anyone would want to kill these animals

MsTigerseye77, I deleted your comment by accident, here it is.
Wow! How are you able to go out and enjoy your yard or check the mail with those bears around? I would be so scared.

Obviously, someone was feeding the bear. Shame shame.

He was stressed. He just wanted us to let him and let him come by us. Of course, we couldn't do that. We had no choice but to call someone.

this is why I hate hunting because the animal they are killing in the name of sports could have babies :(

Hey Mom, I don't care if we get a dog anymore.

@Shrila1 The hunters probably didn't know the bear they shot was a mother until after the fact.

I hate hunters, they need to be taken out so their children cry alone in the forest, until they're eaten by predators.

@zaniellify Bears are hunters themselves, and their tactics for catching prey are MUCH less "Humane" than human hunters.
Regardless, this bear's so cute :(

This little bear came into our backyard and cried at our door don't know if you can hear his crying. His mother had been shot by hunters.
