@LILAmar360 Yes, I have the exact same setup as you. Just buy an optical cable off amazon for 2 bucks. U plug one end into ur xbox and one end into the silver logitech control pod and just use ur hdmi from xbox to tv.

@DjTesivo - Depends what setting you use. If you use Pro-Logic II decoding then it takes the stereo music and converts it into surround, which will come out of all of the speakers. Of course it's not TRUE surround, but it usually works very well.

ive got a logictech Z-2300 the sub alone is 120watts rms, it comes with 2 small 40 watt rms speakers. I am very happy with mine as the bass doesnt distort when i turn it up loud. now i feel sorry for my home cinema stereo that is now obsolete :(

The warning about keeping the sub woofer away, you may want to follow it. Your old sub woofer is probably magnet shielded(probably has a sticker on it saying so..) and the Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Speaker System's sub may not be shielded (hence why it warns you..) Just a heads up

The 2 feet distance only applies to a CRT monitor. Try putting a magnet near a CRT and you will see what it means.

it says to keep away from devices like tv's and monitors because the magnets in speakers can distort the colors on a screen. now most likely the manufacturers have taken precautions so that this doesn't happen, but they still give you a warning just in case. BTW Im getting this sound system :)

the note says to keep away from the monitor or any other electronic device. it is not ment to just protect your hard drives. plus, it takes a different kind of magnet to read/write to a hard disk, and erasing is the same as "writing" to a disk in the fact that it is writing over the data making a fresh magnetic layer. this requires a polarized magnet, of which is NEVER used in speakers for it fucks with the electricity flowing through the wires, which distorts the sound.. learn how audio works

How did you get them to do that for you? Did you have the receipt of purchase. My Z5300 has gone to shit. My speakers cut in and out making this poping sound at times. Very annoying. But I definately dont want to spend around 400 bucks for speakers that once sold for around 200 bucks.

You should keep the sub away from he monitor, the sub contains big magnets, wich can interfere with the monitor, for example get a small magnet and put it in front of a tv

I got the ones with the standard speaker wire, and they're great. There is literally no difference between the two, and the speaker wire is actually better, it makes it easy to extend the wire for you rear speakers.
