@TheTofusteak It was my first real sports bike after only having my licience for a year. I only weigh 55kg so the 600cc more than shifts for me. Also trying to insure the bike was a problem, at the time i had aquired 21 points on my car licience for various offenses over 7 years which made it extremely difficult to insure the bike. So settled for the 600 over the 750.
The truth is if any of us have a spill at 30mph its going to hurt the same!!! when was the last time you seen a scooter boy in a spidi race suit on his vespa
Wear wot you want, if you want to go out in flip flops and shorts on ya bike then you can, if you feel the need to have a full spidi race suit on then you can. People all have different levels of what they think is safe. Ok so you see a scooter boy on his vespa in normal jeans and jacket, you dont think anything about it do you then you see me on my gixxer in the same clothes, you going to think i am a knob for not protecting myself correctly???
I have fallen once wearing my RC100 Clover fullsuit, it really protected my skin but has not protected my Hip bone that took three screws embedded, and after two months of recovery I became very cautious whenever I ride my bike, I always wear those necessary protection. When you wear protection, you will get more respect in the road.
@glenfuj too right i am going down to geroge white to pick up my 2 peice full leathers ........ im only 17 and driving a cbr125 but still can get badly injured on a little bike

People that don't wear gear on a motorcycle are just plain stupid. You only have to fall once at a very low speed to scrape your flesh away up to the bone.
Why did U choose 600 gixxer? Is 750 not sales in your country?

30mph lowside tore through my jeans & sneakers all the way to my right ankle bone about 2 inch diameter hole and the bone on my shin on my left leg
-> was wearing full faced helmet that got chipped real bad on the chin & titanium plated textile jacket that held up really well
now I ride with sidi boots & everything
been 7 months since the crash & I still have all the narly purple scars
I screamed when they cleaned the sand & dirt out of my road rash

I started wearing jeans when i got a bike earlier this year, so now when i ride, its jeans, full covered shoes, gloves and a shirt. Oh and a helmet
