  • now that is the sound of the most beautiful queen of the sea that i ever known

  • Thats why we all hear the HUM

  • dat horn

  • why you never go on this ship without earmuffs.....

  • She has a look :)

  • That's just the reversing beeper.

  • Speaking of blowing, I........... lol

  • One of the horns came from the original Queen Mary (1936) and the other is an exact copy made by the same manufacturer for QM2.

  • @lasuvidaboy the reason why im traveling to Southampton (england) this summer

  • some ones horney

  • THAT IS A GIANT FART

  • Captain:AND your 4-day cruise is over!!

Vacationer: b-but, we only went as far as 20 ft. from the dock!!

    Captain: *smacks lips* yeeeaaaah.....

  • @thejaimeshow2000 ???????????

  • It's like a giant fart!!!

  • Exactly like SILENT HILL!!!!!!!

  • @ViniciusZini lol right. Better hurry inside that church!!! RUNNN

  • queen mary should blow my horn.

  • dat horn is totally awesome

  • God, I miss that ship here in Puerto Montt. She used to come twice every summer

  • qm2 is one of the only ships today that dont look top heavy.

  • so alien

  • The main horn (dark sound) obviously only exists on three ships worldwide - and one of them is NOT a giant like QM2 but a small sailing-ship on the Ijsselmeer in the Netherlands! I was just sailing on "Klipper Radboud" last week - and what you hear in this video is exactly the sound of this ship. This Horn blows a wide grin on Radboud-Captain-Otto´s face each time he let it roar... Just awesome! :-)

  • thumbs up if justins biebers pnis is as big as the deslike bar

  • QM2 has one horn (the ship has two horns attached to the funnel) from the original Queen Mary and another that is a copy built by the same company as the original. The reason one is delayed is that the original 1936 horn was built to be steam powered and the newer one designed for compressed air. Both horns are now powered by compressed air with simulated 'steam' coming out of the port side horn. The 'steam' on the starboard side horn apparently has never worked.

  • balls!

  • some meaty bow thrusters she has :)

  • i want this ships horn in my car

  • holy shit 20 billion dollar atomic tuba

  • to those willing to learn new things, QM2's Horn where taken off her old sister, the Original Queen Mary

  • @ColumbiaAndHoodRiver Ironically that's learning an old thing!

  • @ColumbiaAndHoodRiver but didnt they only take one off? the queen mary still has horns. i think they only took one off and then added a second horn. u cn hear a second horn

  • @thweepz from what i heard, the horns on the first funnel weren't removed, but on the second funnel, there was once a horn there, which was removed for the QM2

  • Shame the audio wasn't clear enough. :(

  • too much baked beanz

  • I think the whole damn nation of France knows the boat is leaving port.

  • she's such a beauty!

  • QM2 is leaving harbour, and she wants you to know about it.

  • LIKE WAR OF THE WORLDS MOVIE TRIPOD SOUNDS :D

  • @zeka087 Dude, you should've been in Stavanger today. EVERYONE jumped and turned when she blasted those horns three times

  • @zeka087 Thunderchild :D

  • @zeka087 a bit

  • Amazing

  • Comment removed

  • im putting one in my car....or my car into the horn :P

  • is she singing while gargling because while the horns are blasting, her bow thrusters are moving... lolzzz.......

  • @alifajardo1999 What do the Bow Thrusters have to do with her horn?

Haven't you noticed that the wind was blowing quite hard in this video?

  • Too bad QE2's whistle (NOT horn) could not have been given to her little sister QM2!

  • @chasriner her little sister in terms of age, but in size. I hope QE gets one of QE2 whistle, actually QE2 has a typhoon horn, like the QM2, but are different.

  • @chasriner Big ships had whistles first,& it is still customary to refer to the ship's primary audible signalling device as the "ship's whistle".However, large ships being built today have either air horns or electric horns, neither of which are whistle type mechanisms.QM2 has one of the QM horns its a Kockums Tyfon575 which is the most powerful horn ever made. The other horn on the QM2 funnel is an Kockums 230/75 dressed up to look like a 575.The 575 is no longer made,so both ships have 1 of each

  • @BIGMIKESOCAL so i take it the 575 is the one heard at 0:27? and the original qm had 2 of them?!?!? dammmmnnnnn when she was leaving port back in the day everyone and everything knew for damn near 20 miles...

  • Look closely at her funnel. Right before she blows her horn, smoke jets out of the right horn..

  • Wait, she uses a steam whistle?

  • @TitanicExpert QM2's whistles are air powered. Small pipes on the side of the port whistle blows 'steam' to simulate a vintage steam-powered whistle. The starboard side whistle's 'steam' has never worked properly as can be seen in that video.

  • what a fantastic ship! i'll be on her in 3 years, can't wait!

  • OH! OHH! OOHH! OHHH! Groaning

  • her thrusters are on.

    look at her bow.

  • @Tundraboy05 Yhah. I see that.

  • @Tundraboy05 I saw that.
