Either way I think we spent more time cartridge fucking the Nintendo instead of playing games. "You want some bad dudes Nintendo? Take em! In and out in and out then blow the cart and nintendo then put the cart back in and take it out again. Thrust it IN! Then gently ease it in. AND if that didn't satisfy her wiggle the cart back and forth. Nintendo is difficult to satisfy because she is so loose.

It was poor engineering. I had a large case with a sealed lid that held the sleeves in place so the carts always went back into their sleeves. I even had the plastic boxes yet I still had the connectivity issues. The first Nintendo was just a piece of ****. That was the problem. The socket was loose therefore unrelliable. Mostly the 2nd series of the first model had all of the problems. The 2nd model worked flawlessly, due to a perfectly fit socket rather than a cute design.

 No, there was at least a dozen game systems before it. It was a dumbass design. It had nothing to do with being a video game machine anyway. It's an electronic flaw that shouldn't have occured. It was basic.

Prime or not it was a lump of shit that was constructed poorly therefore it rarerly worked without cartridge fucking it for about fifteen minutes or longer. If you have to smack it to make it engergize that means it doesn't have a reliable contact. Why you try to defend shoddy engeering or construction I'll never understand. Turbo Nintendo fan?

Its the First Turbo tip. So how could it be "Another" from the perspective of the episode?

And spitting into the game is Too Much moisture. cleaning the contact is one thing but bridging the contacts can short things out.

Also the moisture from breath evaporates quickly while spit can remain long enough to corrode.

Figures I would be one of the few to get the Official NES Cleaning Kit from Nintendo.

These remain allot easier to view one at a time so long as I don't play any back to back.

blowing in it doesnt help...only taking stuff like alcohol and diligently scrubbing the contacts will allow for u to play the game for a longer period....just blowing...maybe 3 mins of game time...especially the moisture and the dust is already corroding the system..so do what u want..but to get the best out of it..clean it.. like cheetah 672 said

Bowing on the carts is the worst thing that you can do. Your breath has moisture that rests on the contectors of the cart. When that moisture is transferred from the cart to the 72 pin connector of the NES, corrosion and mildew build up on the connector inside of the NES. When this happens no game will work and you will need to replace the 72 pin connector. Just use a q-tip & alcohol or aquire the tool that allows u to take the cart apart and scrub the connectors with a dry scotch bright pad

I just get a big 16oz. can of contact cleaner from Home Depot when my games start fussin'. A quick shot, which dries almost instantly, and the games play like new.

Sometimes blowing on the cartridge is simply not enough. Gotta get that wiggle going on. Cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip works well sometimes too. There used to be a cartridge cleaner kit. Same basic thing.

Rather then blow in your games over and over, a better idea is to replace the 72 pin connector in your nes.

The pins can get worn down after a while and then the system becomes useless; but you can get a 72 pin connector online for about 10 bucks and read the online instructions to take it apart to fix it... DUDES!

It is not always the system. My NES console reads all my games, but a certian few, which work after being blown in. A coincidence is that out of the non-working games, 4 of them are back box. Mach Rider, Balloon Fighter, Pro Wrestling and Pinball. Maybe back then they used a different, cheaper, less resistant type

connector, or maybe they are old (the carts ARE Black Box). They work after I blow into 'em.
