It makes me feel humble as a Roman Catholic to see how we treat our beloved dead...this is such a beautiful video...their bodies given a little bit of the heavenly...while they remain on this earth!

In baptisim we died with Him...if we believe we will also rise with Him...death will never hold us and it's sting is gone forever; because of Him.

My grandmother recently passed away. her funeral was today. I'm half Ukrainian . I've been trying to figure out the song they sang. eventhough I didn't understand hardlyany words... it sounded beautiful (or maybe it was the ladies voice)

either way. very hard day today but I believed in my heart she's in a better place and finally at peace. I also lost my grandfather last year, around the same time. :(

I miss my baba and my geegee soooo much.

I recently attended the funeral of my dear Professor and mentor, eternal memory was sung at St. Basil the Great parish in Montreal. It was most touching and yet so sad.

i recently lost my great grandmother, and she would have wanted a funeral like this, instead all she got is a one day wake and the blessing of a greek orthodox priest, i know she wouldnt wanted it to be that way, but in this tradional way XPCTOC BOCKEC

Hauntingly beautiful. Brings much comfort. I just lost my father. The choir sang this. More recently, I lost a favorite classmate who went to Greek Catholic school with me. I'm very sad.
