Well, Shadow Warrior is a weird title. You can generally run it in Windows and it'll work, but not optimally (the sound tends to be off). Running it in DOSBox tends to produce the best results.

Very nice review. SW was one of my first games and I keep returning to it. You can get much much better graphics with the JonoF's patch (just google jonof).

I deleted one? To be honest I can't remember, but if I did it was probably superfluous (sometimes people accidentally post twice) or abusive. You may have encountered a YouTube bug or something as well.

you made it sound like this game is all humor, and it really isn't.

there are humorous moments alot, butmost of the time is serious. Its not like serious sam or anything.

A hardocore FPS fan would love this game.

No, it's not "serious." That's what makes it fun. It's an over-the-top, hilarious, masterfully-designed FPS. The humor's more focused in this than in Serious Sam, though, where the entire game is a humongous (and very fun to play) joke. Lots of references to other stuff in there.

Of course a hardcore FPS fan would love it. It's got great level design, plenty of action, is relatively long compared to modern FPS's, and is actually fairly challenging on higher difficulties.

I liked Duke Nukem 3D so might as well give this game a shot. Bad puns fits perfectly to Duke since he's so much over the top macho it's not even funny anymore :)

Audio felt bit wonky here and there, but it was nice that you didn't sound too "official" on this review while still not derailing yourself from the main subject. Good job as always, you're still one of the better YouTube reviewers who puts some serious effort on his videos.

Yeah, Duke's the epitome of badass. Lo Wang's up there too, but he's more silly than anything else (and he's supposed to be, so it's all good.)

Wolfenstein, Doom, and Duke 3D are some of the most fun FPS's ever made, and it's probably because they're so simple.

Doom and Wolfenstein were somewhat scary as a kid, but with duke I felt tough and wasn't half as scared with how Duke liked to handle the situation. So thats why that title stood out to me of all the DOS fps'.

Duke didn't take the genre seriously at all. After all, when your protagonist goes around blasting aliens in the face proclaiming "It's my way or... Hell, it's my way!", "It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all out of gum." and "Nobody steals our chicks... and lives!" it's not really easy to take it seriously. He's still the epitome of badass in gaming though (especially the end of the second episode in Duke 3D ^_^).

Man this really brings me back in the day. Duke Nukem was one of my heroes growing up. Duke Nukem 3D was one of my favorite games of all time along with all its mod / expansion packs. I definitely should try this one out sometime for laughs. Nice review. Now give me more Arena! :D

Man I remember 10-15 years ago as a kid having to turn down my computer speakers volume for the first time ever all because of duke. I'll never forget the first time I beat one of the acts and it went to the audio cut scene where duke "gets" with this hot chick. It was the first time I coulda got in trouble with a game, Lol. Duke is the best of all time for FPS'. Thats why they call him the king.
