Spesso mi chiedo come questo sublime Artista chi aveva colore di voce quasi di basso-baritono(attuale)era il migliore Nemorino e aveva quasi la stessa voce (per non dire più bella dei baritoni come:Titta Ruffo (chi per me aveva una delle voci più belle della storia del belcanto),Scotti,Amato...

Esta es una gran interpretación de Invano Alvaro. Pasquale Amato estrenó con Caruso "La Fanciulla del West". Fue un gran barítono. No tan grande como Ruffo ni como Stracciari, pero de gran nivel técnico e interpretativo.
