  • @DrJonnyFever69 Thank you for listening and commenting. I did not know it was written for 3 violins. Regards, Edmund

  • Hey, this was really really beautiful and very simple, but personally for me, you brought out the feelings I get when I also hear the original. Dont be dissapointed by thumbs down or rude comments. As you said, everyone have different opinions, especially on such a famous piece as this. I would love it if you would PM the note sheets you used! Really great job in MY opinion.

  • @HighConCannibal Thank you for listening and commenting. I appreciate your thoughts and kind words. The music I used can be found at 8 notes and the full version can be found at free-scores and flutetunes. Regards, Edmund

  • which violin is that?

  • @rikyyyable Thank you for listening and commenting. The violin is an Erich Sander made in Mittenwald, Germany 1973. Cost of violin new in 1973 was $1500.00. If one wanted to purchase an equivalent violin today used or new cost would be in the 2,000 to 10,000 range. My dad purchased the instrument when my family and I traveled there in 1974. Bow is a Herbert Wanka made in 1978, the strings are Thomastik Visions, medium gauge and the rosin is Pirastro Goldflex. Regards, Edmund

  • @nancylicious3 Thank you so much for your kind words and thank you for subscribing to my channel. I hope to post a lot of violin videos in 2012 and hope have a chance to view. Regards, Edmund

  • I absolutely love the fact that you decided to use vibrato!~ Not only that, but as a response to the people that 'disliked' your video, I feel ashamed that they would shoot down such a beautiful interpretation.

  • @mangagirlh Thank you for listening and your kind words. This piece is so classic and iconic that people have very specific opinions about how it should be played. Nonetheless, I must say I was surprised and disappointed by all the thumbs down the video received. My goal was to keep the interpretation simple and let the spirit of the music sing out. The good news is a lot of people have viewed and enjoyed the video and it is the most viewed video I have posted. Thanks again, Edmund

  • please!! edmundjacobs do you think at 0:47 you could give me the notes I understand if you want to keep it confidential but im trying to learn it on my violin by listening 2 your video . Please

  • @poohbear1059 The notes at :47 are open E, harmonic E one octave higher on the E string. Then D# E D# E D# E in the first position on A string. Hope this help. If you need more info on the music let me know. Thanks for listening. Regards, Edmund

  • Nice sound, he bows so close to the fingerboard though.

  • @edmundjacobs I would play it but I lost the Sheet music and I need more practise

  • What kind of violin is that (the make)?

P.S. You might think of trying to go a bit faster.

  • isn't it rude to play a violin while the other violin is in the same room? poor little guy..

  • @Alphabex8 Good point. However, I devote equal time to both violins. Thank you for listening and commenting. Regards, Edmund

  • @edmundjacobs thank YOU for posting these. I probably spent a good 20-25 min. watching your videos. do you play professionally, like in an orchestra? how long have you been playing?

  • @Alphabex8 You are welcome. Glad to hear you enjoyed listening. I do play professionally, I test violins and violas, teach and perform for a living. I have played for 41 years. I plan on posting several hundred more violin videos including more of the heavy duty virtuoso violin works. I hope you have a chance to keep watching. Thank you again, Edmund

  • @edmundjacobs Awesome! you've been playing longer than I've been alive. That's impressive. Random question: are violin bows actually made from horse hair? Someone told me that. Thanks for your beautiful music!!

  • @Alphabex8 Thank you and I hope you keep listening, there should be a lot more music soon. Regards, Edmund

  • donde conseguiste ese arreglo para violin?

  • Wonderful Playing! I hope I could play like that someday.

Watching some of your other videos, might I suggest using more bow per note? I think it can really make your playing better than it already is, as it can widen the sound of the notes, at least for me when I play.

Oh well, Just a suggestion. Awesome playing, nevertheless.

    Cheers!

  • @x3Hanabira Thank you for the kinds words. I appreciate you your suggestions and I will keep your thoughts about using more bow in mind. I plan on posting a lot more videos in the next 3 months, I hope you have a chance to view. Regards, Edmund
