  • what if you have just crayon pencils?

  • @damarcus008 I use to use Crayola pencils and they are for people that are not really serious or beginners. I would go to a art supply store even if you can't get Prismacolor right now they are other brands that are much better. You would see the differance right away.

  • I have your how to draw people realistically book. I love it!

  • I want to do what she does for a living. I have several of her books, & although I hate grids, her instruction has worked wonders with my colored pencil & graphite pencil work. Trying to find a way to apply it to oil pastel, too. Lee Hammond rocks!

  • Thanks that really helped a lot :-). Gotta finish some drawings for my art class. Wanted to do it in black and white first, but thanks to you im gonna do it in color :).

  • Be sure to check your preferred brand for lightfastness.

  • thanks a lot :) does it matter what brand the colours are?

  • I have your book for ipad and it is wonderful! thanks for writing it! Incredible tips on there for ALL budding arists! I just love your artistic ability!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What you should do, after you have your graphite outlining, is replace the graphite with the actual outline color; if multiple colors are involved, use the lightest color.

  • Im still struggling on getting skin colors right. But this is so helpful. :)
