JM Jarre covered Popcorn long ago, a few years before he got famous with Oxygene. But, as said by others, this is NOT Jarre's cover. There are no sounds in this version that even remotely point towards Jarre.

  • Hi everyone bob123surfer is right J.M.Jarre never wrote this!!

    I'm old enought to remember!!

    Check YouTube

    watch?v=jmbGNItGKLs&feature=fvsr

for proof which shows the record label!!

  • bob123surfer I think your right as I have never seen any photograph of a record label or cd saying that J.M.Jarre ever wrote this track. Unfortunately a lot of people think Jarre wrote this and it is on one or two "remix bootlegs".

  • ime pritty sure it was first done in 60 sompthing and it was all synth by hot butter

  • Did Jean michel jarre make the song popcorn? I wanna know!

  • @Padusic

He didn't write it but he did do a version in 1972.

This isn't even his version, though.

This version in by a band called The M&H Band.

    watch?v=W9xxdKCJhhU for proof.

The person who did compose it was Gershon Kingsley in the late 1960's.

  • Szuper ez a feldolgozás,meg amúgy is szeretem Jean Michel Jarre-t zenéit.

  • Only one word: awesome

  • This is M H band not Jean Michel Jarre.

  • Mark Haliday Band, recorded in Family Studio Sound in PARIS. no kraftwerk no jarre.

  • @Onediscomusic It could be either JMJ or KW though,

  • @Frankzvpl it isnt though

  • M A S T E R P I E C E!!!

  • chicago

  • Fanculo!!!!C'è gente che pensa che questa versione sia fatta dai Kraftwerk........E io ci ho creduto!!!!

  • troppo bella che ricordi

  • not jarre or even kraftwerk!!!

  • i prefer the kraftwerk version !?! ha ha ha , only jesting and helping to keep this cyber myth alive believed by the handicapps that kw were anything to do with this cheesy kack

  • the coda is nice.

  • i like it.......

  • Earlier I have only heard a short version but this version really is the best - especially that part starting at 4'55".. which album is this tune from ?

  • the remixes suck, this is the ULTIMATE version! OBEY THIS VERSION OF THE SONG!!! >:D

  • @longcatneedsmorelong This *IS* a remix, fool.

  • @longcatneedsmorelong Well it is a cover like 95% of all the popcorn songs =)

  • - This is the ultimate version ever made of popcorn, no other remixes of that tune reaches this one over the legs!

  • Agreed! And I've been trying to find other versions of this song several times, but none compares to Jean Michel Jarre's

  • Yeah a know.

  • Hmmm. is it Miami, Florida, or Chicago, Illinois? I thought I recognize the Sears Tower.

  • Chicago -lmao- definately, Lake Michigan isn't that small and in summer it all looks really nice :)

  • Comment removed

  • This is NOT by Jean Michel Jarre.

Yes he did do a version (under a different name) but this isn't it .. this is a mix of the version by the M&H band.

  • I have a shorter version of this that seems to be nowhere on Youtube, but this one is awesome too!

  • This is the ultimate version of this song! Love it.

  • Klinkt lekker! Deze versie van popcorn kende ik nog niet!
