the window is melted yes, but im sure the metal grating is still there, that dampens down the microwaves... the glass or plastic door just keep the fumes in

You were probably being exposed to x-rays and plastic fumes during that experiment, and that can lead to cancer over time... and who knows if something were to explode and catch fire.
