Very nice. How does that bean oil treat the power valve? Does it require frequent top end tear downs and rings? My problems with the benoil is that it's so damn gummy it makes the rings stick. If you ride em like race bikes, that's not a problem, but that's hard to do unless it's a designated track bike. I run a JASO FD certified synthetic at 32:1 and have had great luck. Doesn't smell as nice as the benoil though. :/

nice video. i am looking for some parts for my 77 rd 250. the bike is one of the cleanest i've seen. i am looking for a set of 350 pistons, cylinders, boost bottle and so on. can any one offer some advice on where to get parts and so on. if i go from a 250 to a 350 will i need bigger carbs or just jetting? any help is greatly appreciated, website info or bike shops that specialize in these bikes?.

check out usa2strokersdotcom lots of good info and hot air. best place for parts is HVcycles. pistons and cyl's can be had on ebay. siryamaha has bored 350 sets w/pistons ready to go.. yes, you'll need to do some jetting!

hi again m8 i just got a set of tzg 350 stubby pipes..but they will need modding to fit me f2 powervalve..do u know anything bout theese pipes m8 as i was told they way better than me alspeeds..cheers...wayne.

never heard of them. the common pipes we use are; factory pipes (fpp's), toomeys, DG's and spec II's. toomey's being the best of the bunch. anything else is pretty rare to us yanks.

My Dads just bought one of these again, sounds lovely. Its a 1980 with a power valve engine. Seriously fast. Keeps up with his Honda CB600 and would give his KH400 race tuned bike a good run for its money too.

what do the plugs say? is one plug dark and the other light? if they're both the same don't worry about it. if they're different, all your emulsion tube orfaces, check float levels and look for leaking needle seats. check your air adj screws and throttle cables for propper and even free play. does it still do it more after flogging the shit out of it?

2 stroke uses a oil gas mix for lubrication. that is why the bluish smoke is present.
