Faust is set in the Middle Ages and not in the Belle Epoque!!!! I hate it, when they switch the historical time of an opera.

What an amazing Mephisto Relya looks! I hope we'll get a dvd.

I seriously hope he'll get to sing Claggart soon (he should have had in a concert but had to cancel due to illness). He has that certain dark elegance the role needs and looks close to Melville's descriptions (despite our opera experiences, Claggart is supposed to be a 30-something, slim, black-haired yandere...)

I think this looks like a fascinating Faust with Secco and Relyeay sounding pretty damned good. Racette sounds amazing as Marguerite - the strength of her sound pouring out in the final trio - shiver inducing! Get this on HD please!

I saw Racette last summer in Santa Fe, and save for the cleavage this woman doesn't strike me as looking or - more importantly - sounding much like her. did something happen?
