@kalashnikova06 You Know what ,you are right. I'm sorry i shouldnt have said that! I Apologize. but i still dont agree with you...lol. i was so disappionted when i bought the gameboy version :-( the arcade orginal is perfect!
@Imtherealsaturnsonic I respect your opinion. I grew up with Super Mario World, so perhaps I am just more accustom to the more worlds and puzzle-like gameplay, I was never much for arcade style gameplay, I'll admit I'm quite terrible on those original 4 levels without the special moves from the gameboy version
Another idea to buying the arcade game is to set up MAME on your pc. If you dont know what mame is, do a search on google and there will be tons of sites to help you.
Find a donkey kong upright in a red cabinet. very few were ever made. also it will read "How high can you try" instead of "get". That was one of a few hundred original radarscope machines that were converted into donkey kongs. radar scope was never produced. they just used the cabinets for dk. same size, same panel and overlay. Just Red in color.
Morons, go buy Donkey Kong 64 if you want to play the arcade game! The arcade machines will exist on this planet whether it is inside your house or not, so what difference does it make if you own one. The concept of "owning" is all in the mind anyways.
The Donkey Kong joystick was one-of-a-kind for video games. It had a very "mechanical" feel like you could sense the metal parts sliding in the track. Actually I think some other games like Scramble had the same kind. I still remember getting zapped by that machine at the beach when I had wet feet.
O my God! This machine still works great! How much is it?I played this game as a teenager in a local coffeeshop all night long!Day after day! I'm pretty good with a joystick you know.
Where do you get that? I need one SO BAD!
