Always been a big fan of Al.....from the first time I heard "This Diamond Ring' and didn't know it was him until that first track I heard on WLS's Subtaranian Circus from the first BS&T album.
Finally! Excellent! I saw Al at a club on Sunset Blvd., as I just got in from Canada and the club, was called, THE CENTRAL-I believe owned by Hendrix drummer-Mitch Mitchell. I had this favorite song from BS&T 1. and there was AL up on stage playing it solo, on electric piano!!! I will never FORGET that moment. The song was, "I Love You More Than You Will Ever Know". Thank you Al, from the bottom of my heart!
Rock on! What a great tribute. Wow! We need more Al! LOVE the Rolling Stone story. WHO- does not remember that organ solo! How the hell did Al do THAT?!! Saw him w/BS+T in '67/I think, Chgo. I looked about 12 years old then. He made me 'get-on-up-off-a that floor, and sit where I could see.' But his old lady got pissed.. and I went back to my corner! Psychedlic daze, good times. Keep on posting the great talents we love! Bring it on AL!

Al is the white guy that got me hooked on the blues. I didn't realize until many years later the depth and breadth of his talents.
