Gabry Ponte...well, people need to lighten up about his 'mistake'. True, it wasn't the most fantastic idea to leave, but at the same time it wasn't his fault. The record wanted him to go into a different direction and so he was forced to leave. It's not his fault no one else caught on. So, in theory it was a good idea but poorly executed. And he's incredibly attractive, so... ;)

nope. the whole reason e65 "broke up" was over management disputes with the record company. I'm nto sure how the legal rights work but e 65 still sings the same songs under bloom as they did e65 so they must have worked that out. the ban wanted tot stay together but the company blissco, owned the name eiffel 65 (which, ironically was generated by a computer).

For those who think it was Gabry's fault that there's Bloom 06:

Gabry Ponte leaving had nothing to do with Bloom 06. Eiffel 65 was going to have a fourth album called "Crash Test", but BlissCo. found the songs too dark, so Jeffrey and Maury decided to leave, to get their songs out there. They didn't change their name and music because Gabry left, but because their songs have changed. Gabry's role in the band was remixing some tracks, anyway, so their songs would still sound like they do, now.

@Doublespazer To be honest it could have had some positive impacts in my own opinion. By Gabry leaving he might have adversely affected the continuity of Eiffel 65, but going through Bloom 06's songs, it's easy to see a definite maturation of the music the remaining pair has produced. The songs made while the group was still together were great; but the songs bloom 06 has since then produced are also great.

I think Gabry leaving also gave him a chance to improve upon himself as an artist.

I love Crash Test 02 way better than Crash Test 01. They used the Vocoder in CT 02 which they didn't really do in CT 01, and the sound is just better in Electronica sence. I see CT 01 as their..... Depression phase, they needed one album to let out their feelings on life and everything really deepful. CT 01 was ok but it was to dark and depressing (even though I knew why they did it) but CT 02 their Best album is just GREAT! Now that the dark era is over for them it's time for the real B06!
