  • Im with Homer Simpson. On this song and many other things. Seriously though there would not be too many rock bands out there that wouldnt wish they came up with this one. Classic.

  • Is that an Ampeg plexi guitar?

  • this is what V8 engines are made for

  • It ain't much if it ain't Dutch.

  • cedar rapids reminded me how much this song rocks!!!

  • Homer Simpson loves this song. So do I.

  • I've been driving all night, my hands wet on the wheel...lol jks I don't have my license

  • Yep Golden Earring and Focus - stunning bands with stunning music

  • Seen them live 4 times, great every time :)

  • Proud to be Dutch :D

  • pump up the volume mate and enjoy!!!

  • One of many under rated bands of this era...

  • This band was so way cool. In fact they were 30 years ahead of many others. If this song was released today it would still sell like hotcakes.

  • Loving it

  • gyönyörű.................

  • Best song created for cruising in a muscle care. How can you top this song baby!

  • @miyan12 You can top it by listening the White Lion version:)))

  • 70´s Quality

    *-*

  • Im only 31 but I love this song.... Reminds me of growing up riding with my pops in his Roadrunner with the Hemi.... No matter your age good music is just that....

  • DELACONCHASUMADRE!!!!

  • omg...rock and roll classic

  • Red alert?

  • I used to open up my 1968 Pontiac GTO 6.5 to this song...guess that dates me...

  • top band

  • This is gonna date me, but this has been one of my 5 all-time favorite songs for almost 40 years... and the greatest driving song EVER!!!

  • @ir1956ish

Driving was created in anticipation of this song.

  • @123furiousAngel123 Yeah, I think you have something there!

  • im dutch....i feel awesome now

  • @countodown1409 Proud2BeDutch

  • I agree, best driving song ever.I usedd to open up my 1993 lx 5.0 to this song!!

  • Still the best driving song ever!

  • more rock from holland , pls , no one told me they were Dutch , song stills rocks today, thanks

  • I like this song but I could never find it because it sounds a lot like "red hot love"

  • fantastic band and a really nice song.

  • In their homecountry Holland (Netherlands) the national Post issued a stamp honouring Golden Earring's 50th anniversary in 2011.The stamp has a code which you scan and then you hear Radar Love. One of the first stamps ever with music. The band formed September 2nd 1961 in The Hague: founders were kids then,George (vocals/guitars) 13, Rinus (bass) 15.They were joined in 1967 by Barry (leadvocal here on Radar Love) and Cesar (drums).New studio album coming up this summer of 2012.

  • Loved this back in the 70s

  • God bless-we luv ya!

  • Love this song. Not sure about the Freddie Mercury lookalike singing.

  • @thatguy66ish I don't think the Barry Hay is a Freddy lookalike as Queen did not excist, back when Golden Earing got their golden ages. Also their dresscode were typical a rock style, as Freddy took this code on his own too.

  • @markR656 He looks like him to me. The shirt is pretty freddyish.lol I still have to max the volume every time I hear this song. Twilight zone as well. More so.

  • @thatguy66ish Hey mate, you were absolutely right, when Radar Love came out in the 90's where the group Queen were world famous. But i tried to explain that Freddy Mecury was a bit unknown, when this song Radar love came out in the year 1973 so about 40 years ago.

  • I love the drumming done in this song and the Base was great!!

  • I'm so glad I was born at the right time for the good music. This kicks ass.

  • I didnt know dutch spoke english????

  • @Rickybobby1340 u retarded fool

  • canadians rule rock and hockey sorry people

  • I'm Aussie an this song the Dutch rule!

  • the Netherlands rules!

  • why

  • The Frieslandrs don't NEED to do more than one hit per Century or so.... and when they do, the whole fucking Planet goes Dutch. Dig it.

  • @rattinox what has golden earring to do with frieslandrs?

  • @rattinox Who are Frieslanders? I only know Friezen, or Frisians in English. Besides, Golden Earring is not Frisian but Dutch. Too bad thought, cuz I'm Frisian.

  • It's true.

  • funny clothes

  • @TheArtuur2 all bands wore funny clothes back then!

  • En vanavond ben ik erbij!!! :):):)

  • I saw these guys open up for Rush in the late 70's they were pretty good live.

  • Perspex guitars weigh a ton!

  • I saw them live in the 70's. The lead singer really enjoys showing off his package with extra-tight pants. Didn't get it then or now. We know you're a boy.

  • @Obahai they could almost pass for Southern Rock if it were for the horn section LOL. I see Black Betty.. a Southern Rock song... is on the suggestion list.

  • They hide their accent really well.

  • @frankenz66

I had no idea they were Dutch, I thought they were an English band

  • The drum pattern intro sounds almost identical to Ballroom Blitz by Sweet. Funny both songs came out in 1973. I guess not only guitar players "borrow" from each other.

  • @CCRider100 Well, tbh, there's no copyrighted material for drums because there's only so many patterns you can do with drums eventually you will end up copying some other song, could be just pure coincidence

  • @CCRider100 i thought it was ballroom blitz when my brother put it on lol

  • @wowthats . I thought that before I read any comments.

  • It ain't much if it ain't Dutch!

  • if you are here for rocknroll racing, like that!

  • Golden!

  • the odd thing about this song is that its called the best song for driving. its made by the dutch who invented the radar gun (for measuring speed)

  • MINT!!!

  • Last car to pass, Here I go!

  • Dutch on my Moms side, maiden name Dutcher! This was on my truck driving tape I made for work! Best driving song ever!!!

  • Jeremy Clarkson's Favorite driving song

  • I'm speaking for most Canadians here, and we LOVE this tune!

  • dat bass.

  • Another awesome song I'll never get tired of!!

  • This is such a BAD JAM!! love it!

  • BASS!

  • Heavens to Betsy!!! Oh so glad i didn't lose my drivers license the day after i got it back in the day thanks to this song!!!

  • I love this song,,it gave me hope so long ago and still holds such wonderful memories of a certain amazing guy...you know who you are ....

  • Dutch are the tallest nation in the world - it's all the milk they drink.

    But great song, great delivery

  • SAW THEM IN CONCERT IN EARLY 1974. ALL THE SEATS WERE TAKEN SO ENDED UP SITTING IN THE AISLES STILL A GOOD CONCERT

  • BuffyBrunswick, Bullet hits the bone is a classic. What are you fukin12 or so?

  • There where a lot of one hit wonder groups in those years. You don't see them these days cause the industry produces music these days and the groups are investments they keep going for a few years to extract their return on investment. At the same time you do not see groups with Long carriers these days either. Let a band last too long and they do things like start their own record label and ask for a higher cut of returns… that’s a No No.

  • What's to dislike? Huh? You don't like the Tamborine? Don't like the Orange pants? HUH? Stupid deaf bieber loving freaks. THIS IS MUSIC!

  • Whatever happened to Hearing Earring? I have a slightly worn copy of that and have NEVER seen it in re-issue or CD!

  • awesome to play this when driving in the Netherlands!!!

  • @reggaed0n pity they have speedcamera madness and the speed limits are quite low. also, coming from driving in italy, driving is a real bitch in holland, cyclists everywhere!

  • @letsgetverydrunk not if you know where the speed cameras are, never been booked for speeding in NL, and cyclist are on cyclist lanes, and we don't have those on our highway

  • @letsgetverydrunk Compared to driving in Italy, at least if you mean near big cities, like Rome, there is a big difference and for that matter it's maybe a good thing we make sure people stick to the rules. Near Rome, they drive like crazy.

  • Totally awesome song, takes me to Nether, Netherlands.

  • Love this song .. my children and now my grandchildren have been subjected, by me, to this great song. It was even played at my granddaughters 15th birthday party this year because she loves it so much :) And of course Grandma danced to it as though it was still the 70's!!

  • Best song to drive to in a convertible :)

    Honda S2000 :)

  • Back in the 70s when this record came out I got drunk at a party and fell over onto a broken bottle while this was playing. I have the scar on my back still and this song takes me back to that night like it was yesterday!

  • @ChorltonM21 .. Ha Ha .. hell yeah the 1970s was soo much fun. I'm glad I grew up in that era! I can recall my galpals and myself dancing like idiots to this song. Drinking Spumante (cheap girly drink in the 70's) and spewing up in the female toilets at discos .. oh the wonderful memories!

  • Best dutch band :) This makes me proud to be dutch:)

  • @randawoehawoe IT Should it,s awesome

  • brilliant

  • @perstoffer95 so true ;)

  • bobby bryant

  • A favorite of Mr. Homer J. Simpson.

  • 138 people think that they are stealth

  • only 138 dislikes out of 3.5 million. they must be tone deaf

  • oh my god this is rock!

  • oh my god this is rock!

  • This song was a classic in Australia in the 70's still love , love it!

  • this is a great song that can still stand tall today.

  • Hair like this and dressed like this in 2012 well , i hate to think what they would call you. Love the music played it as loud as it can be even in the sixties.

  • A legjobb amit valaha hallottam (THE BEST SONG) Magyarország- Hungary

  • I keep a healthy balance of modern rock and metal, and rock and metal from the good old days. I think the "crap" music people are talking about is music on the radio like Jay-Z, Pitbull, Brittany Spears, and other overexposed famous artists. Except Eminem. His songs can be heartbreaking. I hate it when I hear a song on the radio that is all about sex, drugs, or a combination of both. Like is that all people thought to write about? This song actually says something

  • What a great song, the youth of today are force fed crap and the good bands are out there but getting no exposure.

  • @1960potter You shouldn't despair, there's still hope for us!

  • @1960potter sooo true, but hey When i roll up to my job in my jag I got this blasted while everyone else is listening to autotune!!!

  • proud to be DUTCH

  • @perstoffer95 in the words of Dr evil....crazy dutch bastard

  • @perstoffer95 i'm not sure why a band trying their hardest to sound American makes you proud to be Dutch... be proud of what you have that is uniquely yours.

  • @perstoffer95 HELL YEAH!

  • @perstoffer95 Me Tooo .. Dutch Rock and Roll ;-)

  • @perstoffer95 The ONLY thing to be proud of

  • @2000tc88 Ok, a few more things to be proud of, but they're fucking up bro! Cheers!

  • @Drulil Mate check out the other DUTCH band FOCUS,Their Hocus Pocus Track from 1973.

In 1973 Jan Anderson, their LEAD Guitarist was voted the best guitarist of the year by people like Jeff Beck,Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page and Richie Blackmore in the magazine Music Maker.Dead Set.

  • @perstoffer95 so you should be : best country for at least 50 years. Not a lot of great music, but, hey, just being Dutch is enough. and your women...are tall.

  • @perstoffer95

Hey Joran, is that you? I thought Castro Castro was a tough place. Shah, guess not since you have the internet.
