  • I think Pemex has foreign individuals that work on off shore rigs, though I'm sure on the specifics. Norway as well as a few companies in the mideast.

  • Hie I am from Croatia, that's in Europe by Adriatic sea. I am petroleum enginer and I speak good English and German. I would like to work on rigs in my profession out of my country for a few years because right now there is no job in my country. I want to ask is it posible to find the job in Europe or middle east? Or in youre company...

  • @ziviogaannj I am sure if you send a good application, they will accept you.European engineering companies are the preferred choice.

Thank you man, but believe me every one is asking for 5 years of experience minimum...I will search and find job somewhere but a little bit I feel betrayed by my country and energetic companies, but I dont care, I just push on :-)!

    What about you?

  • @ziviogaannj I understand completely what you mean.I have worked with a few companies,I know western countries tend to have more jobs available.Have you tried looking at american companies?I also know of a particular company in the caribbean called petrotrin that are always looking for petroleum engineers.Research Trinidad and Tobago Petrotrin.I would suggest that you get their contact information and probably e:mail human resources and I am sure you will get an answer :)

  • @TheFriendlyEngineer

Thank you very much! You know I have started to work as Financial consultant, but I think that I must try to work in my profession, because then why have I wasted my life on university ;-P you know, bless you!

  • @TheFriendlyEngineer I heard there were just as available jobs in foreign nations as well if I'm correct? In your opinion are which is better to work for, an American company or foreign one? I've heard that foreign companies actually try to recruit individuals from Western countries as well as good pay. I'm barely getting acquainted with this industry so my knowledge is limited, thanks

  • @neophytetroll I believe in foreign companies. The pay scale is somewhat the same and the experience is worth the travel.Infact you tend to gain more knowledge in this particular field when expanding your geographical locations.
