  • deeper into this it gets really amazing when he gets into the real deep scientific stuff

  • this is amazing

  • Having some back ground in hebrew though not a lot. This is right on!

  • (enter religious argument here). shut up. everyone

  • The problem with religion is nobody can agree about whos version is correct. Even within the same religion. Everyone holds their beliefs about god and the afterlife with the same conviction as Rob Bell. Not everybody can be correct. But everyone can definately be wrong...

  • @Herpasyphillaids the problem with you is that you have not open your heart to Him, so you can't see the truth. When you know the truth WITHIN YOUR HEART (not your mind) you'll know what's right.

  • "And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day" Genesis 1:5 ...but Rob just said such a measurement was not around until the 4th day?

  • @leeyokum a greater light to govern the day, and lesser light to govern the night. I.E. Sun and Moon.

  • @leeyokum Genesis 1:14 & 15 "And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth." And it was so."

I think Rob Bell was pointing to the fact that the lights used to gauge time, i.e. "days and years", were not created until the 4th day. This raises questions about 6 literal 24-hour days.

  • @cocnwyouth

Or how were those first 3 days measured before the 24 hour days.

  • @nosferotica1 Actually, the writing of "There was evening and morning, the (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) day" indicates a 24-hour period, in the Hebrew language. If the things Moses wrote in Genesis were, indeed, revealed to him from God, then it is easy to see how the first three days were, indeed, 24-hour periods. Otherwise, he (Moses) would not have indicated in his writing that they were 24-hour periods.

  • @trainman238

Or it could be Ezekiel 1, describing things your limited vocabulary cannot grasp, for lack of a better word.

You could be right, too. There's no telling, really.

  • @nosferotica1 Indeed, indeed.

It would be interesting to do some more in-depth research into this.

  • If we do not have the science to know what we say, although we know nothing. Congratulations Dear Friend! God bless you and keep you! Missionary Wellington Nogueira

  • 10:12 stars are suns. Anyways really nice video i was just hoping he would address some of the main issues with creation.

  • @REALSLIK Im guessing in this case that suns are the stars with planets

  • now God made a really interesting book... you could study it for a lifetime and still don't get it all...

  • A good exposition of Scripture + support of empirical science + support of true philosophy makes the theological understanding vast and profound.

  • "He who has ears let him ear"

  • Thumb this if your here because Mr. Douglas told you to!!!

  • who else is watching this for school?

  • Everyone should link this video to their Facebook and other things so that others will be able to see the amazing intricacy of God.

  • This is amazing! If only there was evidence for any of it!

  • @ShaggusMcPhallus Faith doesn't need evidence, and if you still want evidence just look up and look arould you. Every amazing natural thing you see, do you thing was made by accident? Very unlikely, right? You just have to have eyes to see and heart to belive. :)

  • @biarustiguel1 A story doesn't count as evidence. And the comments of people amazed by the intricacies of their pareidolia is just sad. The scientific story of the cosmos is so much richer and complex and true (justified by evidence).

  • @biarustiguel1 The beauty of the world is indeed amazing! But in my not so humble opinion, believing it was spoken into existence by the god of a semi-literate desert tribe reduces it to the level of some kind of magic trick and debases the amazing facts about how it came to be that we are discovering through science.

  • @Eventsbyresonance science will never discover the creation of anything

  • @wagz420

Agreed. I really wish Atheists would just let it go. Science just describes what it is, and how it is, it explains nothing of why it is.

  • @ShaggusMcPhallus My friend, I suggest you have any free time available to spend finding out more about the Bible, this amazing book of poetry/history/love/faith/good/evil/betrayal/(and so, so much more...), I suggest you take a look at any of Dr. Constable's Bible Study Notes found at this site.
